I thought Suunto was so cool, till I found that , just like every watch I've ever had, when I replace the battery u lose the seal around the chamber and then it's not waterproof anymore and without even noticing boom water damage and your watch is fucked forever

I have just updated my Eon Core to the new firmware that supports the Bühlmann algorithm. Came here for an explanation when to choose one algorithm over the other. Not sure what this bloke was talking about. But it was utterly useless for mere mortals who want some guidance.

If I were doing SAR I would want a watch face with: Elevation, direction, maybe weather forecast (at lest basic info like barometric pressure and temp, time until sundown/up, battery level and digital time, with seconds and a timer of some sort. Currently there is no watch face that supports six, no seven complications, but there needs to be. I would also want a map, which my Race has, and baring and breadcrumb navigation, which my Race also has.

I’m sorry but Suunto Race S, open water swimming data is out by a full km. when I compare it with Apple Watch the difference is clear. Very disappointing in Suunto swim recording. 😢

Are they headphones good otherwise? Shokz openswim swim pro have a longer history and good reviews. Wonder if you have any difficulties with different mp3 files or anything?

What ended up working was uninstalling and reinstalling the Suunto app. Once i did that when i connected my Suunto watch to the phone/app all of a sudden the customization option on the menu in the app was there and i was able to do what i wanted. Thansk for getting back to me though.

You will be able to see ZoneSense data after your run in Suunto app. Unfortunately, Suunto Ambit 3 Run is not able to show the data in real time during exercise.

Selling products that do not work I received a Suunto 9 Peak Pro for Christmas that doesn’t work. They have a known software problem with the heart rate sensor not working, this then means that sleep tracking doesn’t work, your HR stats on activities is incorrect, along with your resources stats.
I’ve reached out to the customer support team many times over the last week asking to return the product as it doesn’t work. I was then told to downgrade the software to a version where the HR sensor works. I did this and then it stopped working again.
The team are refusing to let me return and receive a refund for the product because it has been used. There is no way of knowing about the product not working unless you use it!!
Since doing further research, the heart rate sensor has been an ongoing problem. Even if a software update fixes the problem in the short-term, there’s nothing to say it won’t come back in future as it has done before.
The fact they are selling a watch that doesn’t work is beyond me and the fact I can’t return it is disgusting service.

As a sports watch - there’s no countdown in the interval timer, and you can’t set it up, not even with a phone. An annoying "No-fly time" icon appeared, and it won’t go away. A green airplane icon will keep showing if you’ve ever activated the scuba dive mode. Does anyone know how to turn it off? After three days, I reset all the settings, and the icon disappeared.

You can use any heart rate belt that provides beat-to-beat data. However, only Suunto hr belt works in swimming with its built-in memory.

I've been using Zonesense a couple months now with running and no matter how fast I run or how high my heart rate is, Zonesense is always in aerobic zone. What could be the problem?

Yes but not for me. It is compatible with Baro 9 and the sportsapp is installable on the watch and selectable. However, as soon as it picks up data after 10 minutes, my watch crashes and kills my session. Tried twice, crashed twice. Zonesense after activity in the phone app, works of course.

With a Suunto 9 Baro and a HR belt you won't see the real-time metrics during an activity but you can still analyze the data after your workout in Suunto app.
