Very interesting take on both galas! I did wonder if anybody would try do the two in the same day. Did enjoy the auto in the fading light at the end and how the red tail lamp faded away.

The cause of the stall has been established as dragging brakes on the stock, possibly caused by vegetation striking a butterfly valve on one of the coaches

It was for both the A1 and A2, I believe significant work was done during the design stage of Tornado to try and improve the ride so she could run at 100mph without throwing the crew around the cab, something a few of the original A1s were known to do!

Why BR? It was an LNER Peppercorn Class Locomotive. The great London North Easter Region!!

The locomotive is LNER design but it was outshopped in March 1948 as British Railways Apple Green, technically it was never in LNER livery.
