If you were to rank conferences over the past 30+ years on a year by year basis, you'd get not only a difference of opinions on the rankings, but where each conferences would rank on yearly basis would also change. However the $ of the conferences has been pretty stagnant with the b1g leading the way and the sec next and then a drop off to the rest over that same time. With all these different opinions, why don't you see bidding wars for conferences? Look at where the tv networks put their $ and where they do not, these networks have been in the sports business for decades, spending $B, and are privy to info you and I are not. The networks favor flagship schools w/ historical fb past in heavily populated states... nd (special case), ut, uga, uf, osu, psu, mich, usc. Notice how all those schools sans nd have gravitated to the top 2 conferences. The networks prefer flagship schools over non-flagships. When fsu spurned the sec for the acc is the mistake that's probably coming home to roost. If the b1g and sec start to form their own "thing", fsu is in a very precarious spot. If perhaps after 10 years on said collaboration, many future fsu fans will become uf fans. Uf will only be more valuable to the networks. Over time, fsu will lose it's value to networks if fsu is not part of "big boy" fb. Why pay a lot for 2 when you only need to pay for 1?

FSU needs to accept that the best thing to do is shut down their athletic department. Corey and these guys still do not understand that ESPN gave FSU the death penalty in 2023. THEY WONT BE ALLOWED IN ANY PLAYOFF lol. It does not matter how "good" they are, nobody cares!

FSU is by far the worst program on all levels in all of collegiate athletics. It has zero value to any conference, including the ACC. FSU has been banned from competing in any "playoff" system as well. Within 5 years all athletic programs at FSU will be shut down. The crazy thing is, the lawsuit that FSU filed will actually speed up this process by agreeing to a settlement that gives FSU absolutely nothing.

To be fair I remember being 8-9 years old watching Peter Warrick at FSU and I was floored anytime he caught the ball and didn’t score

Ira stays saying the Big 10 but the Big 10 doesn't have ESPN. the ACC, Big 12 and SEC do. I think he's in denial that ESPN extending the ACC most likely means that IF FSU gets out of the ACC then it is going to the SEC. If Texas and Oklahoma have to go from the Big 12 to the SEC due to ESPN, so will FSU.

a) ~10:54 UVA has more options than FSU, as it's wanted by both the SEC and B1G. b) ~13:00 WAKE was a member when FSU joined; and FSU pushed to invite CUSE and BC. If FSU doesn't care about playing an upper right (UVA), it still isn't a fit for the ACC nor the B1G. The BIG12 is the best cultural fit. c) If FSU just wants out, why not accept the most likely and move to the BIG12 while the claims, fees, etc. get resolved? Win/Win for all parties?

We make a wave by going public with our dissatisfaction & filing a lawsuit. Have an undefeated regular season snd win a conference championship. Get snubbed,l because we lost our QB1, have worst bowl loss in CFB history, got taken to the cleaners by our coach's agent, start next season in top 10 but ultimately lay an egg with one of the worst P4 seasons of all time, while watching a team make thiscyear's playoff missing their QB1. Now might drop our lawsuit. If that happens our image will be a laughingstock beyond comprehension.

If you just need to remind yourself of what the mic novel offense looks like with the mobile quarterback, go back and watch j. Travis last 4 games in the 2021, 2022, and 2023 seasons. I believe big things are coming in 2025.

There is something special about about this team this year

Not sure why everyone is panicking about the ESPN extension on this deal. There was no way the ACC would walk away from the table and they are correct in not being willing to do so after having just watched the Pac 12 dissolve because they turned down a TV deal extension and were stuck with an offer from Apple TV. This was always going to happen.

We're not renewing our season tickets and will be donating that money to our alma mater in some other capacity. I'd rather be waterboarded than endure another 9 years of the ACC. Henceforth the only football I will watch is the NFL

What comes next for FSU? Wendover and take it up the rear from ESPN and the ACC for the next decade! Don't expect any national championships because the broke ass ACC can't compete with the rich SEC and BIG!

FSU/Clemson will continue to fight in court. ESPN will let them out of the ACC by 2031. TV contracts will expire in 2031 for Big Ten & Big 12. Top brands will bolt their conferences in 2031 to form the Super League w/unequal revenue sharing. It has to happen. The most valuable brands in CFB are strapped for cash. Everyone is searching for more revenue. They will find greater revenue in 2031 in the new Super League.
