EQ3? umm Good luck, I really hope you are able to pull an EQ3 off, there are soo many valued players who love the game EQ1 and Eq2, its picking the best from both games and coming up with something new completely. Will you take it into the future new worlds, maps, bringing some old players or characters already in the game NPCS bringing them forward, or do you start all over! Big challenge! Big expectations from alot. Personally I would like to see all of the old zones in the new game, plus new areas, new and old music who knows.

Darkpaw's take on the new EQ2 Origins server was honestly a genius move! Essentially it brings the nostalgia of old-school EQ2 back to life and at a really palatable pace in comparison to other TLPs. Although its almost like a paid version of P99 for EQ2, the benefit allows players to experience EQ2 expansions on the old-school model of the game with additional quality of life elements. Best of all, NO KRONO!!! Today the Origins server is still running on heavy and I am so happy to see this game being brought to life once again, really reliving my childhood.

Even in 10 years, this won't happen.

If wow had these graphics I'd play again, now days it looks like some fortnite kids game. So much copium in here saying it withstood the test of time but most people are playing old versions for nostalgia. Imagine how many ppl would play if wow had evolved into this not just the ones who'll take whatever blizzard gives them.

I hope they don’t dumb it down for accessibility sake. The mechanics weren’t the problem the interface and user experience was. Maybe the tempo could be sped up a touch. The main problems were the way the story was delivered and how hard information was to find and convoluted it was to find it. I think if they focused on fixing that and kept what worked from EQ they’d have a win. I hope too they allow all casts and use commands to be done from command line for us geeks. Infact I think all MUD commands should work, and should. Inven should open your bags, EQ or score should show your equipment or character sheet. Heck I wanna type “eat bread” and “drink flask” again. The further from the multiuser dungeon we got the sucker the RPGs got. Heck the further from tabletop the crappier and more video gamier they got.

Nah man, wow's got a look to it that can last forever. it should stay just like this but crispier and crispier. upgrading textures, effects and options. make armor more dimensional and layered. more body modifications. WoW doesn't need some 'epic graphics overhaul'.
