Does anyone know if rubbing alcohol has any effect with Brusho?

I'm 6yrs later just catching up. Am fairly new to Brushos and still experimenting. I haven't yet tried glossy paper - would this work on both photo paper and Yupo? You final cards are lovely and yes, my favourite is turquoise too. Best wishes from Chester, UK.

When I have used lots of water, I put a second piece of card on top n then peel them apart. then you get two papers from one :)

It may look it in the video - I hadn't noticed! The finished product certainly isn't cloudy :)

Thanks for this tutorial. I bought these a couple of weeks ago, and so far, of the dozen or so backgrounds I've made, there's only one I'd use. I can't believe how much water it takes to dissolve the colour crystals ... I think I'll try the starch one! Thanks again!
@KyliePurtell757 жыл бұрын
Hi Virginia, perhaps you are sprinkling too much powder? Try a little less and see how you go. It shouldn't take too much water to get them to dissolve. If you need any help with your backgrounds, I'd be happy to take a look at the ones you have made - [email protected] :)
@virginiaburns52787 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Kylie. They look better now I've stamped on them, but I really appreciate your help. I will try less powder on the next lot.

Love Brushos! No art is the same so it's the random-ness I like. I wonder if instead of using starch, you could use shaving foam? But great video, and I must try the cling film technique.

I will have to try that!

I thought you weren't supposed to remove Brusho's lids anyway. (I just got a 24 pack for Christmas & used my Tim Holtz pokey tool to punch a hole in the middle of the lids-- they sprinkled just fine..)
@KyliePurtell757 жыл бұрын
ibkristykat It is just a tip for newbies to using Brushos. I mention not removing the lids just in case someone was wondering if they should or not. I also use a craft tool to poke a hole in the top.
@ibkristykat7 жыл бұрын
Kylie Purtell i am a newbie lol
@KyliePurtell757 жыл бұрын
The point was that the pots are concentrated powder that make up many litres of paints - usually for schools etc. For this technique, removing the lid isn't required. The lids ARE meant to be removed - they are designed for that :)

I was trawling through your channel and found this, your very first video...it made me remember that I had recently, finally, managed to find this lovely stamp set (on ebay, at vast expense!) and that I haven't use it yet...such a lovely card and I was thinking as I watched that it would be perfect for conveying sympathy and that's what you made it...the technique for colour blocking also is so good...we often get carried off with new techniques, I am so glad you have reminded me of all these things, Di xx
