PlayIt Recorder records audio, it does not play it back.

Our software does not play video.

Make sure that the correct output device is selected under File > Settings > Live Assist. You should also verify that the device is not muted and that the volume levels are set appropriately on your computer.

This video shows at 03:50 adding Station IDs (Jingles) and then using the playout pattern (08:43) to add these Station IDs into automation rotation. The example shows using songs, but you can add Station IDs (Jingles here too). When Automation is switched on it will alternate between Songs and Station IDs.

I assume you have downloaded the latest version from the website. Segue editor carts are only shown when editing a voice track segue. The voice track must be the middle item.

I've just check this and it is working as expected. Ensure your default segue type is set to "Next" under File > Settings > Live-Assist

@@playitsoftware It might be something specific to my system then. I just upgraded to the latest build, but the symptoms continue. Perhaps my m3u files, which only list track names and have no other content, have an issue. I also tried, on the import window, choosing Cue out --> In for the first four tracks, and Custom for the next four tracks. On completing the import, those eight tracks were reported as missing tracks. The file format looks like this: S:\Music\Mike\Corrs\Talk On Corners\2 - Hopelessly Addicted.mp3 S:\Music\Mike\Milli Vanilli - All Or Nothing\3 - Take It As It Comes.mp3 S:\Music\Suzy\MUSIC\more 7\All I Have To Do Is Dream.mp3 S:\Music\Mike\ABBA - Gold Greatest Hits (1992) [EAC - Lame V0]\03 - Take A Chance On Me.mp3

Just checking in again re this issue. I have a workaround which works. Drop the Playlist file into Foobar2000, then Ctrl+A and drag and drop the tracks into Playit Live. Problem solved.

There is no defined limit. We have users running with 100,000 songs with no issues.

I is not just my mic. When I play back, The outgoing song AND my voice track AND the incoming song are all sped up. Again, come show times, it plays normally, but when I preview it, it plays faster and at a higher pitch.@@playitsoftware

You would typically schedule shows at specific times of the day using clocks and the clock schedule. Please see our video on Scheduling.

Under Tools > Duplicate File Analysis you can remove tracks where the same file path has been added multiple times. It does not detect if the same sounding track has been added multiple times.

Hi George. Thanks for your message. PlayIt VoiceTrack does not support exporting to PIPL format. In PlayIt Live, you should use Clocks to create the equivalent of 'playlists'.

Hi Marvin. PlayIt Live can broadcast the audio from a mixer if you can record the output of that mixer. If your voice is going through the mixer, then you can broadcast your voice for the talk show

Hi Jack. Since this video was released, the software now selects tracks with a weighted random algorithm. A greater weighting is given to tracks that were last played longer ago. This will ensure that songs do eventually get played.

PlayIt Live can import fully merged logs in M3U format from external schedulers.

This video relates to scheduling the tracks that will be used for playout. You will need to start the playout at the time it is due to go on air.

This is not currently available in the web browser but is planned for the next update.

Hi Cedric. Yes, you can schedule a weekly program. You should treat this as a normal track and add it to a track group. Then you can schedule the track group as part of the clock. Alternatively you can add the track directly to the clock, however if the track is updated because the weekly program is updated, the clock may lose reference to the track if it is deleted. Please can you tell me the error you are getting from the schedule?

No. The mixdown functionality is only available for local voice tracking projects.

There has been some interest in adding the mixdown functionality to PlayIt Live and subsequently to remote voice tracking. This is something that is being considered for an update in the long-term future.

@@playitsoftware it’s something that we would be very interested in and would be useful to create on demand content of previous shows. Big plus compared to other play out systems available.

The latency between the microphone and playback is unavoidable due to the software processing delay. We recommend microphones where you can plug in a headphone directly into the microphone such as Blue Yeti or Rode NT-USB Mini
