This rune was the absolute worst to get. More steps then the Eiffel tower, incredibly painful battles, and for a 30% chance at a free cast of Slam? If I wasn't so devoted this rune quest chain would have made me unsub alone

To clarify, once you loot Illegible Recipe you must right click it to obtain the quest "Anyone Can Cook", you turn this quest in @ 53;72 Arathi Highlands, to the NPC ogre named Skonk. He will give you the follow up quest for the ingredients called "A Quick Grocery Run".

Yes, you have to talk to the ogre at Highlands after getting the recipe. It will be a quest from it.

Yes, I did it on a cleared lockout, before reset. I believe you only need to have 5/7 also.

Runes are spells basically allowing you to modify certain pieces of gear giving you new spells and what not

any open world events from 10.1.7 and before should work, time rifts, fyrak assaults, dreamsurge, rares etc. Havent tried with heroic dungeons but, might work also.

I’m understanding it as 4 piece tier of season 2 tier, since explorer and adventure gear seem to be on that track. Then the times we get above that; veteran/champion/etc, will be season 3 tier and that’s what we can only get one every two weeks

The tier in the video is the season 2 tier, not season 3.

You can covert any gear from season 2 events into tier gear at the catalyst (Fyrakk, time rifts, dreamsurges etc.)

aren't catalyst charges time gated? how did you get enough to convert all those pieces to tier gear in 1 go?

This is possible because we are converting tier from season 2, not three. So charges are no longer used as of prepatch 10.2. If you have the gear that was mentioned, you should not require charges. In case it is asking for charges, then you are trying to convert S3 gear.
