I often go back to the video's of X Japan and his solo concerts, he was so colorful and cool especially during early 90's with his crazy hair and "samurai-goes-metal" outfits, I know HIDE's life ended in May 1998 because everyone say so, but looking at the footage, at his face I still cannot comprehend that he's gone. .and it's been over 25 years. And I hope it was his decision to leave this world even if it is tragic and I don't believe it, because if it was just a drinking accident this is just among any words.

he was also a wild drunk who would black out. Not always a fun person to be around. I've been trying to see life from his point of view, but his life has a lot of anxiety, bad memories of shame and rejection in school from bullying. Inability to sleep at night at 0300 and 0400 because of tormenting thoughts. He would drink to pass out, only so he could sleep. His stage presence was a designed identity that everybody loved, but that was not really Hideto Matsumoto. The real person was somebody that he was working on, but he didn't know how.
