Dnd lizard folk are very different from Argonians, or Goblin Slayer lizard men, who are like muscular Native American Irohs (with a spot of WOW's Thrall). The lizardmen from Overlord are serious and a little stern, but surprisingly reasonable and even hospitable dude bros. The lizards from Reincarnated as a slime are probably somewhere between Elder Scrolls and Goblin Slayer, with a bit of Dimitri from Sly Cooper. In a situation, Gabiroo was and a more well intentioned Absalom, and his Father was a Native American King (Chief) David from the Bible thrown in, but with a less bad ending.

I am glad you use the term 'Maker', which is far better than the illogical term '3D priniting.' Printing, done by a printer, is 2D. Making, done by a maker, is 3D.

You're missing a lot of important details here, in my opinion: - More expensive injection molded dice (which you call store bought dice) are indeed usually fair. The dirt cheap ones you have often aren't. - There are a lot more costs associated with making your own resin dice. There's the cost of the mold and/or masters, the cost of any inserts you use, the cost of a pressure pot (I suspect that's the missing puzzle piece in your bubble struggles) and the costs of materials used when learning the craft and for any failures later on. -Similarly, the costs of printed dice are only that low if you already own the printer. - Resin printed dice are pretty soft and get scratched easily. - Resin cast dice need post processing too, but it's not really the post processing that makes them unfair, it's a combination of the materials, the tools and the post processing skill. (I'd argue resin printed dice need post processing too, but that's more subjective.)

Your question is when is a new company like bambu labs going to help it's competition to beat bambu labs? This is really your question... right? Bambu labs might be a little too busy trying to ensure its survival & establish it's self to answer that question. So if you want a real answer i would suggest asking an established company like Apple But i would advise you not to hold your breath! 🤣🤣🤣 Alternatively you could simply ask yourself to list the ways you yourself help your own competitors on KZbin and in your other businesses to out compete you & your business interests. Best wishes 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Great point. I was really trying to get at, maybe not as successfully as I would have liked 😬, that the the data on RFID should be standardized so all AMS can read the filament data to optimize 3D Printing. Like the IEEE standardizes electronics, like a usb-c, that way things can work smoother together.

If using Bambu filament, wouldn’t a Bambu printer automatically change the necessary settings based on the different filaments?
@MakerBuildIt
@MakerBuildIt 19 күн бұрын
Most Bambu Lab filaments have RFID tags, so the so it stores important information about the filament, such as material type, color, and spool weight. This helps automate the filament identification process. So the system can automatically detect the filament type and color, eliminating the need for any manual input. 🧵 Hope that helps. 😀

Any tips for Overture Gold Silk PLA on a Bambu A1? Trying to print medals for a work project. Prints look decent but the top layer looks/feels rough! Tried recommendation of setting up a custom filament and tuning it in Orca slicer but it doesn't seem to help. Purchased a filament dryer (for the gold silk pla) with same results. Still very new to 3D printing so I'm not sure what to do to get a smooth print and smooth top layer with this overture silk pla. What do you think I'm doing wrong? Appreciate your time and any help you can offer.

@MakerBuildIt Thanks for your response! I did try ironing yesterday, but I noticed that the print head was clicking (or hitting the print?) I found some posts about the filament being "too wet" but it's running out of a Polydryer after drying for 6 hours. Is there a trick to ironing settings based on your nozzle (I'm using the stock 0.4 nozzle using the .08 Extra Fine profile because of text on the medals). Is there a formula or something I should follow to tune the ironing?

@@hc6979 Are you ironing it in Bambu Lab software? If so, have you tried adjusting the speed and flow?
@hc6979
@hc6979 19 күн бұрын
@MakerBuildIt Yes, the latest prints were using Bambu Studio. I had tried using Orca Slicer because of the built-in calibration tools (temp, flow, retract, etc.) but had no success; the prints looked worse in the end. I did adjust the flow and speed during the tuning phases in Orca, but not in Bambu Studio. Went back to Bambu Studio, and started from scratch using the Generic PLA Silk settings - the print is decent but still a little rough and scratchy looking on the top layer but the sides look super smooth with almost 0 layer lines visible (it's currently max printing at 7.5mm/s and 0.98 flow). Going to attempt ironing the next one with these settings to see if it helps.

@hc6979 Hey is the top of your model rounded? If so try adaptive layer lines, it should smooth out the top of you prints by printing the top layers thinner than the rest of the model....tradeoff is print time increases tho

Anyone looking for advice on actual nearly bubble free dice without a pot (yes, it is possible) keep looking, this video ain't it. The title is click-bait and the dice pulled are riddled with bubbles that can be seen easily despite the horrible camera focus and attempts to only show the "clean" sides.

I just tried clear PVC Primer last week. Outstanding on PETG and ASA. I used it also to smooth the prints w/o sanding. It did not hold the Inland Tough PLA but I used 3-4 coats and knocked down the texture left from the textured PEI plate. So its a decent way to go to smooth your prints. PETG took a while to dry but it was glossy. Not bad at all

@jasper265
@jasper265 8 күн бұрын
I haven't been making mine for long enough to truly speak from experience, but I don't think you'll have any trouble with their durability. I haven't heard durability mentioned as a concern in the community. The dice are basically as hard as injection molded ones, if not harder. The sharp edges do provide an easier point for breakage, but I've not actually experienced that or heard people about it online. Of course poor craftsmanship can decrease the quality. There isn't really anything to "wear off" if the dice are made properly. The numbers are inset (and then painted) and any other effects are inside of the die. For effects that go on a surface, there's a technique that puts them in a smaller die that's then put inside of the actual die, adding a layer of resin over the artwork.
