Why would you release this video? Shouldn’t you have strengthened your test parts and re-ran the tests? It’s inconclusive. Also a strain gauge would probably be better

Thank you for your feedback! Always appreciated. The test was designed for how larger 3D printed parts, such as cosplay props, are handled in real life. 😀 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKmzoX6MorCNjc0si=ZYcXzjAm0YZpWgJ-

For the pvc cement you actually don't need the primer and can buy the clear version.

Pvc cement clear works great with out primer. Any way I didn't see clear primer just violet

I feel like doing this test again with 100% infil with a strain gauge would help fore results. Thanks for the video!

That would be a great test. I think I see it in the future. 😁

Thank you for this. I was about to purchase sc200 vinyl cement but i have already have clear pvc glue. Can we get a comprehensive test with higher infill and a scale to measure force?

I've used IC-2000 | Rubber-toughened CA and BSI CA a lot. both with activator. Thanks for the PVC glue example. I didn't think about that. Dry time and ease of application is typically the most important for me.

Keep in mind Gloop says you need to lightly sand both parts. Sanding lets it really penetrate and change the composition of the plastic.

Absolutely! Lightly sanding both parts is crucial for a strong bond. Thanks for emphasizing that important step!

you need another wall or 3 in those prints. Very impressed with the PVC glue.

I've been pretty disappointed with Gloop PETG after really enjoying their PLA variant. With the PLA version you seem to get real fusion between the two parts, where as the PETG version I have had better results using regular old super glue. It doesn't make any sense to me, but your second test with their PETG version mirrors my experience. I will be getting more of their PLA, but I will be checking out the PVC pipe cement and the JB Weld Plastic Bonder. I feel like I wasted my money on the Gloop PETG version and it wasn't cheap.

I agree! The 3D Gloop PLA good worked great. We did a video on testing a ton of glues for 3D printed parts. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKmzoX6MorCNjc0 😁 But the 3D Gloop for PETG didn’t perform as expected, especially for the price point.

That. Easy, quick and strong enough.

I should have imagined how low the quality of this video was going to bee since the first moment I saw the Ryobi tool....
