Was camping alone in the snowy high Uintas last night and heard some far off howling. Here to confirm my suspicions!

That was a perfect example of the yelping "show of force" they have. The coyotes start yelping, and my dogs start howling. Then, my wife starts yelling at the dogs and I say, "Are you joining in on the howl again?"..lol.

I like how the low res footage almost makes the coyote look like a corgi. That one does a pretty good impression of a zebra.

Coyotes are the most resilient mammals on Earth. Even in America where you can kill them, their population continues to grow. I was walking home through downtown Nashville several nights ago and saw one just walking along the street, probably just starting his day. I nodded, he nodded back, and we both went on our way. Coyotes and humans in North America. Like two ships passing in the night.

POV: It's pitch black outside, you had a little too much to drink, and after peeing far away from the campsite you are sobering up as you hear this sound..

That Coyote was telling his pack you was there and to come back. Coyotes are smart and sneaky af they can make about 11 different sounds and each one means something different That's how they communicate to the pack. I love when they do the bait and switch on a prey. They usually won't attack human, but never turn your back on any wild life

My grandpa went moose hunting in Canada and all the sudden a bunch of wolves started making noise around him. Native Americans told him " they didn't even know u were there, they probably smelled a deer n they were calling eachother together to hunt"

So after he told me this I'm in the national forest, cooking steak on the fire for all of my friends while they're inside, n I start hearing coyotes all over the place. I'm like "hell naw, they smell my food" best believe them steaks was rare when I pulled them off, I've seen raccoons attack people for food a pack of coyotes a eat you if they're hungry enough

How 262k people viewed this and only 1.2k gave thumbs up has to be one of life’s great mysteries. I think coyotes sound much more amazing than wolves. Wolves sound like broken vocal cords, some deep ones can hold a note. But coyotes are like Mariah Carey, they belt it, all the notes!
