Not so much a duel as an exchange of great playing. That said, Tommy Emmanuel is one of the best guitarists alive, and one of the greatest ever. I have seen him do things that no one else can do. Truly amazing. I say this as a veteran player. I'm nowhere near in his league. In fact, he's in a league unto himself. There's no one else in it. There are some great flamenco and classical players that can do amazing stuff too, but Tommy can do that as well. I've seen him do it with an orchestra. Playing serious classical music. Tommy was giving room, not showing off too much, showing respect. Except for those subtle harmonics he whipped off. As if it was time for breakfast. There is no other. He is unique.

Is there anyone besides Hendrix Tommy E has not played with? The man has a guitar in his hand probably 12 hours a day every day. An amazing talent and a genuinely nice human being. He truly is a one man band because he can play lead, rhythm, bass and drums on his guitar at the same time.
