How did it hold up to time? With the weight of the girls on and off? The live load, did you end up with any sagging? We are looking to do the same in my son’s room but it’s an 11’ span
@heathercammack16563 ай бұрын
It never sagged and held up well, but if I was to do it again I would use 2x6 lumber.

@@heathercammack1656 hey just suggestion, but can you replace the ladder with a set of book self, to be used as a stairs,
@heathercammack1656Ай бұрын
@@honeymodder5896 that could definitely be a cool addition.

Is it possible to do this to both sides of the door and it still function ?
@heathercammack16563 ай бұрын
Yes, you will just have to make sure to accommodate for the door swing and close on the backside of the door.

Great work. But how would you deal with the humidity inside the box since it can create moisture on the wood? Don't you think you should add a layer of plastic inside to cover the box ?
@heathercammack16567 ай бұрын
If you live in a humid place that would definitely be something to consider. I do not so it wasn't a worry for me. Also there is no wood to dirt contact which helps the wood last a lot longer. Maybe try sealing the wood with an outdoor product if this is a concern.
@You_tubeedit7 ай бұрын
How many pallets did you use
@heathercammack16567 ай бұрын
Thinking back I believe three plus extra lumber.

Wait, you glued the tassels on, so how did you get the beads on after? My brain isn’t braining and I need this info please, lol. I love this. I changed from farmhouse to boho and never hung my drop cloth curtains and now I can!

Hello. Bought a water based exterior/interior wheat colored paint. Painted my front door went over it a few days later with Gel stain and it seemed to have a bit of resistance didnt seam to spread like the gel stain Ive seen people do on videos.

why didn't you just make very small V-grooves in your doors with a router ? like in this movie : kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqSQepppbLx5pMUsi=iyQ8HmA2FjHFapbA
@tkalskate Жыл бұрын
I dont know how long those nails can hold the whole bed. I would build atleast two pillars for extra support
@heathercammack165610 ай бұрын
The screws held perfectly. If this was made to hold adults extra support may be necessary. I just took the bed down as we are moving kids around and this bed was a beast to take apart. It was still very solid after two years of use.

Trim the edge of the slats you put on the door to make room for the door jamb.

So glad to see you didn’t need either of those 2 wall outlets… completely avoidable with wall anchors.

I don't trust wall anchors enough with this heavy of wood and kids all over the place. Definitely an option if that is the route you want to go.
