Thanks for all you do with these awesome documentaries. Do you ever plan to go back to this location? (Or the Beecher's trilobite bed?) I grew up collecting Pseudogygites and Triarthus in the Collingwood member shales around Ottawa. Really fascinated to better understand the relationship between all these Ontario/New York Ordovician shale formations. Also curious to know if Pseudogygites ever appears in New York. Cheers!

Yes, I am going to try to get back there this summer. I haven't yet found any Pseudogygites yet but I will ask around if anyone else has seen them. Its possible they could be same or similar formations with different names on either side of the boarder. (That happens between NY and Pennsylvania a lot. Thank you again! Cheers, Chris

I'm sure you are a great teacher sir, sadly individual and passionate people like us rarely pass muster in the deeply politicised Scottish teacher training system of today. And glad to hear my elrathia fossil is likely authentic!
@fossilhuntingandcollecting4279Ай бұрын
Hi Benny, Glad that your Elrathia is good too! The teaching politics is brutal here too. Usually the best tenured positions only go to people with relatives in high places. Don't give up. We still can have a very positive effect on the students whether substitutes, untenured or working outside our optimal field. Thank you for watching! Cheers, Chris
