Never too late to play them! "0 Exp" is pretty self-explanatory-battles award no experience points. So in this challenge characters forever remain at the level the were when they joined the party.

@@Topazd255 in the JRPGs I've played (mostly mainstream fluff like Final Fantasy) levels make a huge difference in your characters performance. Is that also true I'm Suikoden? If so, how did you get unleveled characters to perform so effectively. I can understand from the video the 'kindness rune' must improve stats at low HP since you got your HP as low as possible for the final duel, but most of the other characters still seem quite potent too.

​@@GrayMansEndlessIncite Levels do boost your stats significantly, though the level number itself is not factored into damage calculations unlike some other games; that helps a bit. However, the main thing that makes 0 exp challenges in Suikoden relatively easy (compared to other JRPGs) is the huge roster of characters. Many of the early joiners become useless as the game goes on, but you keep getting decently competent recruits rather far into the game. Other than that, you just need a bit of familiarity with the game mechanics to take you the rest of the way. Kindness Rune is a bit of a silly gimmick, you attach it to a given character's weapon and it'll give them an extra point of physical damage output for every hour they spend in the active party. So someone motivated (or insane) enough might leave the game running for days to get the maximum +127 damage boost... it's the only way for Riou to win these mandatory duels at his base level, really.

Generic fast wyvern was a helpful niche to fill on a few maps, by no means was it as important as Bernie's.

Any male unit could replicate this provided enough investment; S+ rank fistfaire and one additional energy drop (from chapter 15) already patches up any strength shortcoming. Female units lacking hero and war master access would be at a noted disadvantage, which warrants some extra attention. Mind, this is all assuming we want a 100% consistent Rhea kill; any character will definitely get the job done if _some_ reliability loss is accepted.

Not quite. 100% misses in FE6 are brought about by the RNG spitting out numbers it shouldn't have. This on the other hand happens because hit rates operate slightly different to all other chance-based events; the game checks if the RN is less than _or equal to_ the given hit rate, whereas for other events it'd check if it's strictly less.
