I have 2 of these deck one model is AKAI GXC-570D II and the other one is AKAI GXC 570-D / The GXC 570D II is missing a motor and I do not know where to get one and the other model GXC-570D the record button is not working no more. The play button / rewind and fast forward buttons are still working. Only the record button is not working no more. Any suggestions might help me.

@@JasperAsher-lv1yg deck have 4 motors. Which one your deck is missing? Capstan motor? For recording issue 1st check safety switch at the top of cassette bay.

Andrei, I do something similar but use a small piece of soft chamois leather wrapped around a cotton stick to do a gentle finishing clean of the heads.

My Nak ZX-7, worm gear is broken. Azimuth cable is damaged in few places. I'm think to do soldering this or made new cable by use hard plastic pipe and free movement steel rod inside

Not a cheap option. Why not use just one device? You could use a Blu-ray player as CD source,and maybe invest in a good DAC, if the built-in DAC is not good enough.

@@bsnf-5 im not using CD/DVD at all. In case i got some music on CD i can rip it and that's is. Besides i like doing things, that's why i made id.

@CassetteDeckService Yes but ripping is very cheap too, you can use any computer, laptop. Even an old videogame console, Sony PS3 is probably one of the cheapest devices capable of ripping CDs. In case you didn't know

azimuth, you need to get proper azimuth tape to calibrate and maybe the tape was recorded on badly calibrated deck. nakamichi has procedure for calibration.

I've always wiped😮 after cleaning, Usually with the dry end of the swab. Now I'm going to try the lens cleaning cloth,seems to work well.😊

Whoa. That one has all kinds of problems. That will be a hard one to fully fix. And problems with the VFD. I watched another tech try to fix VFD problems before by replacing all kinds of chips, then boards, then everything that connects to the meters. No luck. Hopefully your experience will be different.

Most of all problems are fixed and VFD also. Next step is to install DD drive from Dragon.

Nope...this is 22 years old device. I used external bluetooth dongle as unit have aux in..so you can literally connect anything to it.

this was an ecelent deck but i rceived from my father the ZX-9 wich is not that diferent but works with perfection, all the defects on the Dragon ,here all don´t exist mainly the automatic azimuth correction and the auto-reverse ,this is much better and works
