Can I use the mat that is in my van? It has some cushion like carpet padding under it. Then just put click together flooring over it? Or do I need to put down some plywood first?

Start from the outside towards the center to prevent diminished adhesive at the corners and edges where it is more prone to peeling.

Even in an RV, I think a P-trap is important at every drain, sinks and showers…

With all due respect has anyone ever tested the actual noise reduction from a van floor that had strips of sound deadening material put in just the valleys, because without running a continuous layer across the entire floor including the wheel wells I’m skeptical that it would add any significant reduction in noise. As a former science teacher you would have to complete two identical vans one with the strips of material & one without and then drive down the same roads with a decibel meter. I suspect all you are accomplishing is to add 50 mm of height for a lot of money? Secondly, who came up with the term decoupling for the idea of reducing heat transfer between surfaces which essentially is the exchange of thermal energy between physical systems. The meaning of the word “decoupling” is the separation of something that was previously joined or coupled. Therefore, “decoupling” has nothing to do with heat tranfer!

When you put your tape on and sealant do you turn it down flush to the underside or just 1 thread showing under? Or do you have your tape as a guide cause the plastic is 1/2? the first fitting you putin.

Do not connect large accessories to the starter battery or you will regret it. Use a house battery instead.

Thanks for such a thorough look at the setup you’re building! I was wondering if you knew what the part numbers are for the CCP surround as well as the cap/cover? Our 2023 Transit didn’t include those parts from the factory 🤦♂️

Is the wire to the tail light on the drivers side included in the harness that you extended that goes to the ground on the drivers side? I am extending mine right now and am having trouble getting enough slack out of the tail light cables.

Have you had any trouble with brass fittings mated into the plastic water tank? I read somewhere that metal male fittings can cause problems with plastic female fittings.
