When I used to play this, I always felt HARD was actually more difficult than Brutal cause it focused on numbers instead of upgrades. Also, what are you playing this one? Is there a safe place to download it? My physical copy doesn't work with newer computers

I always pumped up the orc barricade for 10 points, and then put a watchtower in the corner next to them. Since the barricade has a curved shape, and the tower is narrow and thin, you can immediately place a watchtower in the corner. I also tried to immediately score the required number of points for the barricade and surround the main base with them.

You wouldn't survive as long with isengard and catapults. Also in age of the ring mod you'd be defeated within minutes. Brutal here is the equivalent to peasant there

When ever I try playing against even 1 brutal they over swarm me before my 2nd building is ready like they have already 2 battalions of orcs + 1-2 battalions of easterling spearmen and a mountain troll💀
