How did you even do this? You automatically lose the shoe at the end of the shoe levels in SMB3.
@nensonduboisКүн бұрын
The game checks an event flag that calls the level end routine to remove the shoe; because the game doesn't expect you to have the shoe upon clearing a world boss, it doesn't know how to completely remove the shoe which causes the palette to no change back into normal.
@dlcook22 сағат бұрын
@@nensondubois Makes sense but how did you get the shoe to an airship level in the first place is what I'm asking. You had to have done something unusual, right?

I'm confused. This is not an unreleased game; Muppet Adventure: Chaos at the Carnival definitely did get released. Perhaps this is an early beta or alpha version?
@nensonduboisКүн бұрын
It is unclear though we do know that the game never made it to the lot check to have been released. It is assume the developers were able to use the muppet characters and lisence.

In the future, I would like to suggest this fix: for the underground rooms you enter via pipes on any map in World 2 thru 8, to fix the timer to have unlimited time (as in Super Mario All-Stars).
@nensondubois2 күн бұрын
Entering pipes without valid pointers will either crash the game or lead to interesting invalid areas. An infinite time code does already exist and I believe it was in the official NES Game Genie codebook.

the timpani samples in smb3 actually came from a mirage dsk-8 that kondo owned at the time, you should check the newer vgm sound sources sheet if you want to find more of them

Wow, this is beautiful on the Super Gameboy. The colors just look great. Very cool. These Gameboy madden games are inpressive even without the SGB enhancement but that just makes it even better.

Not sure if you're really that full of yourself, or if this is all just a joke, but there were 2 pitch corrected versions available before yours, the oldest one having been uploaded 6 years before yours. Somehow your rudimentary programming skills don't translate into search skills lol
Is it like a graphic novel for gameboy or an actual game?

the game 's overdump contents is an unreleased japan version of tony hawk 2, only tony hawk 1 jp is in the gigaleak so they probably realized the first one wasn't going to come out, 18000-1BFFF has shifting from 23 bytes of unknown code in the area where it was overwritten, meaning pointers will have to be adjusted to make the game work, my fix tried to match the data not overwritten, and i'm not sure if any other text besides the menu wheel was translated

The real reason for garbling is actually OAM DMA. It freezes the CPU for 512 cycles. If rendering is disabled it seems OAM DMA is disabled too in this instance. On a PAL NES there is more VBlank time so, with an IRQ timer in the cartridge, you can forgo OAM DMA and still have time to copy new nametable data. Just copy OAM data first as the OAM refresh begins after 24 scanlines.

This is an urgent question that I can't seem to find an answer to ANYWHERE - on the Wikipedia article for this game it says that two levels had to be cut, and, sure enough, at the results screen after a game over, the progress bar is split into eight (8!) chunks instead of 6. Does this prototype have the two cut levels? This, of all games, is one that I would KILL to see the lost levels of!

It’s an amezing game and on the supergameboy despite it’s limitations, it’s added colorpallets and sound effects do add extra shere to the game. HOWEVER i really don’t care about that background border of it at all, it doesn’t make the game look more beautyful or more presentible, in fact it’s only distracting me because it makes the main screen more smaller and theres no option to enlarge the screen (unless your modern tv does have a zoom feature). Personally i found those background borders nothing more then just a gimmick to cover up the snes limitations because of it’s limited bandwide damnit. On the gameboyplayer you can zoom in and sprite do have their own colors as opposed to backgrounds but you will miss the extras from the supergameboy.
@nensondubois4 ай бұрын
There was a lot that could have been done with the SGB, just that developers didn't really care because it was extra work and time, and also memory restrictions to store it on the cartridge.
