Congratulations even though it’s been a while

I can’t believe this is your first video!! This video was absolutely delightful and so well made!! I have been sewing all my life and adore vintage patterns. I am now 40, and after having 8 children I have found my measurements don’t quite always correspond with ready made pattern measurements. I’ve begun exploring the haslam method to be able to make vintage fashions that will suit my body type. I cannot wait to watch the rest of your videos and follow your journey. Thank you for sharing such a lovely video!

Your channel came up in my feed, I think because I have just taken up sewing again after 40 years. We used to learn this in school but I am re-learning and am very interested in the Haslam System. Years ago I had the Lutterloh system but life got in the way. And I love vintage-style clothes, particularly the 1920s - 1940s. I'm looking forward to checking out the rest of your videos. Watching you on the floor, I was taken back (mentally) to years ago when I was pregnant with my first, who will be 40 on Monday. During the cutting of fabric that I had stretched out on the floor, I scooted myself around the pattern pieces with my Ginghers still in my hand. I wound up with a 1/2 to 3/4 inch deep puncture in the side of right knee, and a scar to remind myself to be a lot more careful!

It looks to me like the German Lutterloh System.

I know this was filmed a year ago but congratulations and I hope your family is doing well. It's nice to see maternity tops like my mother wore back in the 50's. I'm looking forward to getting caught up on your videos and I wonder when you'll get back to filming more.

I just found ur sight when punching in haslam dressmaking I wonder if this works on ALL body types and measurements cause my measurements are 46 44 49 do u think it goes that high ? I am looking at buying a book but need to know if it works for my size and thank u so much I am subscribed

I like the sea foam green fabric, I have some similar which I intend to make in to an extension of a cami that I have made several of before. I may make it by hand. I made a slip on the cross similar to the one you are doing years ago, my mum dared me to do the whole thing by hand including a side zip. I loved it but unfortunate for me, so did mum. Good luck with your other project.
