I’ve heard some channels say that it’s even worse than before, that version 1.03 is better than any of the post firmware versions?

I used X-H2 with latest firmware, the lens were 17-70mm Tamron and 33mm Tokina ATX-M, in both cases aperture was f/4, ISO=1600, shutter speed 1/60, shooting 4K video with me 2-10ft in front of camera, AF-C fine except if I moved too fast toward the camera, there was a small lag in terms of focusing. (AF-C, AF mode is "Multi", tracking sensitivity:+4, AF speed: +3, Face detection: left eye)

You dont mention that this process doesnt work if your timeline is in Davinci Intermediate.

Hard to say man, those shots were all but dynamic. Good thag it works just right for you though.

i feel like it should absolutely NAIL a slow dolly tbh. I'm gonna need a way to go back to the og firmware bc tbh its just so odd that its so messed up with these new firmwares!

1. You're using a very narrow aperture for most shots, and even there the focus can be seen pulsating when you move close to the subject. AF issues are highlighted when people use wide open aperture. 2. In a couple of shots where you have indeed used wide aperture, you are zooming the frame in video edit, not using your lens to zoom. Not sure if you had set the cmaera static on tripod and the AF settings to object tracking instead of AF-C. 3. You mentioned in other comment replies that you have turned OFF eye tracking. So, you're not the right person to comment on bug fix that the firmware update was supposed to fix in the first place. Majority of us are facing issues even after the firmware update and you're posting misleading info here with deliberately designed shots where issue will be minimized. This doesn't do any good to us consumers. We are at loss if we blindly support brands instead of holding them accountable for delivering quality.

some third party plugins were made with particular fonts, they won't work if you don't have those fonts. Some require you to turn the clips to compound clips and fusion clips and some work with the length of the clip.

Thank you for this video, yesterday I started the first steps of switching, first of I was shocked by not being able to use Pixel units in sizing, positioning …etc. Also DaVinci crashed 3 times while previewing the titles before dropping them to the timeline. I miss some features like expanding a panel by pressing ~ (which does Undo in DaVinci). I have been editing videos in premiere and doing motion graphics works in After Effects for ages, yet yesterday I ordered the DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor Keyboard and I hope it will be a great start with Studio version and the crushing experience will be eliminated. Thank you for this nice video… you made me feel I am not the only one struggling here. 😅 Good luck

Besides Replay being free with Dropbox, I don't feel like this convinced me to switch: 1. How long did that video you were trying to show take to load on Dropbox? 2. Can you show the versions side by side? 3. Can you add a watermark for when you're sending your video to a large group of people? 4. Can you turn on and off the links that you sent? This is important for us because give our clients a time limit for each round, that way, they don't keep coming back with more edits after the round is over. 5. Can you separate different teams? We have our own team in Frame and several other agencies we work with. That way, one marketing team doesn't see the files that we or another marketing agency have. Our team puts drafts in our team space and then when we approve it, we can directly send a copy to another team's space for their review. 6. Can you archive these videos and it doesn't count against your total storage? This was key for us with Frame because we have a lot archived and they have their own storage pool. 7. Can you upload directly to Vimeo from DB? 8. Can Replay be integrated into your NLE so you can interact with the notes directly on the timeline? Questions I would've liked to have seen answered

this is why this is a terrible program, in vegas you just hold strg and drag the sides, but ok i could live with pressing ctrl+r every time even though it´s unneccessary bother, but what´s so idiotic is, that this only works in edit mode where i have no waveform of the audio track, i do have that if i switch to "cut" but then i can´t use the ctrl+r dragging. who in their right mind would ever design something this way? i mean there must be a way to show the audio waveform in editing mode, i can see it there in your video, (and it would be great if someone could tell me how tro do that) but the fact that isn´t the default is mind boggling, to me

I think complaint videos like this are good for black magic. While they in no way need to be premiere, they do need to pay attention to ALL other edit software and decide what's needed to develop in Resolve, Fusion, Fairlight, and Color. They also need to completely follow what fcp did to avid #1 lower price, #2 great training resources, books, videos, etc, to make it easy to learn and use. Thats how Apple nearly put Avid out of business. If black magic had beaten Canva to buying Affinity, it would have been bye bye Adobe. Black magic should take a good look at photopea and vectorpea and make a move now. Adobe should be shaking in their boots. Especially after their recent attempt to appropriate their users private content for their own uses. The time is perfect for BMD to make a move.
