Just a tip, if the cops come and knock on your window don’t answer as they can’t do it anything if they can confirm someone is sleep inside a van, even on streets where the rich and famous are, as far as the police know there is a car parked there and that’s it. The cops have better things to do, they will knock and go away if no one answers.

I need to replace my old Berlingo diesel van soon. Use it for transporting dogs. It's nice to drive but had a ton of issues so reluctant to buy French in future, though there seem to be lots around. But an issue I never knew about when I bought it is the pesky DPF. Since lockdown, I haven't done any long distance runs, just short trips around my local area. And the DPF has been bleating. Garage says the ash content is high and air flow low. Been looking at used vans and there aren't many petrol ones with what I need: Air con. A full mesh or part mesh bulkhead. Lowish mileage. Not mega expensive. And absolutely none with those requirements in my local area. I may have to get diesel again and make sure I take it for long runs more often!

I had bad experience with ad blue. Plus I’m mostly doing city driving short trips. Gasoline would probably be better for me.

Yeah pretty sure you need to do the “blue slip” inspection when you get the vehicle to NSW, but maybe someone can correct me if I’m wrong 👍🏼

Thanks for the video My question is this what if it comes with the QLD plates ready Do I hand them in to NSW service office when it’s time to pay for the new rego I plan on buying a car and driving it back to NSW

Yep, the NSW team will ask for your QLD plates and will take care of sending them back for you. You get a pro rata refund for whatever rego is still remaining in QLD, minus admin fees

Everytime you go to a mechanic for anything they've got you over a barrel. Before they start their "inspection" the least they can do is lube up their glove well beforehand.

Did you tow the van into nsw or did you drive it in? And if you drive it how did you drive it if you can't transfer it into your name since you live in nsw?

I drove it from QLD which is where I bought it. I bought it in my name and then also transferred it into my name in NSW 👍🏼
