first class passengers are not allowed in the lounge if it's a domestic flight. they took that away

Well James you could have chosen a better airline to fly to DFW. It was very boring all that English food thank goodness we did not see that cabin crew. Yes love the A380 food was very boring then seeing afternoon tea . Would never fly BA to British for me should have had some American custom.

I’ve often thought that people with hidden disabilities like Autism, etc, even if they buy an economy ticket, they should be automatically upgraded for free to First Class and use the First Class Lounge before and after flights - I’d love to see British Airways and other airlines doing this, as it would be very innovative and groundbreaking

First is expensive for airlines. They can’t afford to really give it out for free to all passengers with additional needs. First is meant to be exclusive. Nice idea, but I doubt it’d implemented.

Why should people with special needs get upgraded for free. What about people who pay a large amount of money for 1st class anyway. Just because certain people are "different" doesn't mean they should get special treatment. Ridiculous statement.

@ Precisely. First should be an exclusive place for those who have paid for it. Just because someone is “different” it doesn’t mean they should be upgraded. First is small for a reason: to keep the undesirables out.

They do not charge a typical first-class fare for this product. It is more of a business class in the old A380. However, the privacy and space are priceless, especially on flights over ten hours. They will update all their super jumbos before the end of 2026 with a modern and more expensive product.

love the BA A380; flew it bos-lhr and lhr-sfo. was looking forward to dfw-lhr in August; however, the LHR-DFW flight was going to land three hours late, which would have made me miss my connection at lhr...had to get rebooked through jfk on american's 777-300er....no comparison and was sad to have missed the BA experience. safe travels.

I found LGW WTP to be nicer overall product than LHR WTP. Seemed more room on the LGW 777 rather than LHR 787.

Glad your BA flight did not have an electrical fire like ours did in July. 13 hours sat on an RCAF fighter base made my trip. It made my trip to have to go to my Old Man's Memorial service in travel clothes as it took 6 days for our luggage to catch up with us.
