I have a hen that seems to be broody but isn't laying on eggs. I've checked. Amd has stopped laying. What do you suggest I do

What do I do with the new rooted clippings if going into winter
@GhostTownRanch7 күн бұрын
I use my eggs for protein shakes, so i have to crack them and put right into shake for consumption; not a fan of the idea of keeping the bloom on them since the chance of contamination appears present. And cleaning them before use is a guaranteed cement like poop/bloom to deal with. Any suggestions? I’ve heard oiling the eggs helps keep them safe after washing. My chickens and ducks are pain, they all crap on their eggs.

Great video! Can you help me with an issue with one of my girls? Poppie vent, hard tummy, waddle walk. My first thought was mites, did everything, (coop spray, deep clean, apple cider vinegar, replenished bath with DE, Epsom soak),,,,for 2 months,,,,problem not gone. Other girls FINE. I rather not spend 200.00 for vet but I do love this girl!

Did you plant by seed into your bed or did you transplant?
@AudreysLittleFarm18 күн бұрын
I do a mixture of both. I transplanted broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and onions and then direct sow leafy greens, peas, and all the root crops.

@AudreysLittleFarm23 күн бұрын
lol! 😂 that’s a bummer that it hasn’t flowered if you’re wanting to save seeds. If it’s still growing it may still end up flowering before it dies. If not hopefully a plant will next year 😊

No I never got them back and don't know who did it to confront or I would have. Unfortunately there are bad people out there 😐

@@AudreysLittleFarm OK it kind of sounded like it was the guys that were picking the oranges most likely. But I get that you didn’t have any proof really to go accusing them. That is just so awful. have you thought about installing cameras or at least those fake cameras with signs that say you have cameras? I’m thinking that would be a major deterrent. So sorry this happened to you.

The single most important coop design is to have it elevated off the ground. The 2nd most important feature is is to make it small.
@AudreysLittleFarm26 күн бұрын
Elevated coops can be nice but they make it difficult to go inside as the owner. But I will have to disagree with being small if you have a larger flock more space is better.

Audrey! I’m so glad that I found your channel!!! I’m also in Central California (Modesto) My tomatoes didn’t do well this year, I think it’s because my garden area has become too shady due to all of the trees around that are growing (which is great except for my tomatoes). I just subscribed to your channel and can’t wait to dive into your other videos. Happy Gardening 🌻🌻🌻

Does it like sun or should grow it under shade or partial shade?
@AudreysLittleFarm26 күн бұрын
Lettuce can grow in full sun in the cooler months but will definitely benefit from shade as it starts to warm up.

It's Mid August. My Bonnie plants are 4ft high. Pruned, fertilized 3 times during the summer. Stocks are thick. But tied to round wire cages. Tomatoes big as your fists! Slice nicely and tasty too. 50 tomatoes off one plant 47 off the other. Pruning lower braches off. So the tops will keep producing to the big frost. Shawn from Indiana.
