I lived in a mobile home trailer for 14 years. Never again. I'll live in a refrigerator box before I live in another trailer.

I am stuck living in a 30 year old POS mobile home and it’s BEYOND DEPRESSING! The walls might as well just be particle board. Every single thing in here is cheap tacky and so poorly made! I can hear every single sound outside especially in this noisy neighborhood and it sucks! The doorways are so narrow i feel like Alice in wonderland when she fell down the hole and everything kept getting smaller and smaller. Recently had to tear out master bath due to water damage and other problems bc everything is rigged up and had to put a two piece cheap poS shower in bc a one piece wouldn’t even fit through the doorway! Tho the bathroom looks better its still depressing. I have come to absolutely HATE mobile homes! I have a family member who lives in a much much nicer much more expensive mobile home and while its much nicer its still cheap and lacks character! Horrible investment! If I had $ to gut this it wouldn’t be as bad but unfortunately I don’t. Cheap plastic doors that the fan blows shut, cheap plastic trim, kitchen drawers that broke as soon as i moved in just by opening them up. Feels like i live in a particle board nightmare!!!!!

The outside also matters. Some of my mobile home neighbors must feel that way as you say doesn't matter and it looks really trashy !! I care.

✍Hello... I live in a 1982 single wide mobile home 14 X 65 My husband and I downsized from a brick cape cod home due to his health issues. Just too much house and yard for us to take care of. He's since passed 20 years ago and its a good thing we'd already downsized cause I'm now 79 and in bad health. Over the years we've always kept up repairs and upkeep cause I'm a neat/clean freak ha ha ha ! This mobile home is in a Senior Mobile Home Park so much better than a apartment or condo. I love my carpet and it doesn't take much time or effort to keep it clean. Don't know why it should stink unless you live in a filthy home !! Just because you live in a mobile home doesn't mean you have to live up to what people describe us as "Trailer Trash" enjoyed watching your video. Bye from Ohio🌹

In regard to paint color you can actually go back to the hardware store and they can make it lighter or darker if you don’t like the way it looks.

Trailer carpet removal is a lesson in true patience 😂. Often the carpet is put in before walls, and tons and tons and tons and fking tons of stapples lol. I did my grandparents double wide, but bigger house. (Idk it just seems much wider and open than a normal double wide. Has 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths, with two being in the master suite because my grandparents liked diffrent things. My grandma had a nice massive tub with easy entry, and my grandpa liked sliding door showers. Their closet stretched between their diffeent bathrooms. A big living room/ dinning room, and a long kitchen and much room with bedrooms along that same stetch with a restroom betwen them. Their kitchen had a floating island which my grandma loved lol) My grandma retired from the park system so they moved onto the farm where they let my mom, and Uncle build on. (State park superintendents usually are provided a pretty nice house in the park) I got stuck pulling the carpet and staples out alone. Mom and little brother started to help but went down to the hosue for something and then dove off to town leaving me to do the work alone for the next 8 hours. (Still a sore spot haha). My dad and uncle joined in when itt was time to put the flooring down. We used something similar as the video.

Hey dude you done an amazing job with your room.. But for my needs I would have redone the entire room with insulation and put new drywall on the walls why? 3 reasons 1. Everyone knows that trailers are hot in the summer and freaking cold in the winter, 2 helps with noise reduction In The house, you would have a higher amount of profit when you decide to sell it later... Good for you to remodel your trailer. However you should have been wearing respirator and gloves when pulling out the old carpet. It could have mold and other contaminates .
