Drop the poundage and get used to perfect execution of shot from draw to release. You can build back up as the season progresses. I know this from personal experience tearing my bicep tendon at the shoulder.

Try a shot trainer. Then you’re not drawing the bow and injuring your shoulder and you can practice as much on your shot as you want.

Ditch the trigger release, get a Carter Evolution or similar resistance release. The amount of time your thumb is on barrel tells me you are commanding the shot. The angle of your draw arm, and the tipping of your head seems like draw length might be a little short. Good luck with rehab.

I tore my posterior labrum this year drawing back in the cold after sitting in a saddle for 10 hours (not fun). I have still been able to shot my bow, but have had to make sure to draw with pretty much all trap and back muscles. You might try that, get that elbow pointed upward more, instead of sideways as that puts a ton of stress on the labrum. With the elbow straight up, raise the front arm and then force that trap to pull the string back. I don't have things all figured out, just know I had to work around that same issue and saw you pulling more shoulder than trap.

Sorry to hear your shoulder is injured brother. Dont forget with the bow you have, you could easily order a set of mods backing that weight down to 50-55 pounds, working on form does not matter how much weight your pulling, might be easier on your shoulder so you dont keep it flared up. Just a thought. I have some 55 pound ones I am currently suing just for form since hunting season is over. Keep up the fun videos, get well soon brother. dale

First to comment friend. Looks like you have a very sweet bow there. I love it. I shot both as well and made the same choice as you. Good idea on saving some money as well brother. Good call. I do like the that company is the only one I know of that gives new strings to every bow owner, that is actually a good deal in my mind. The one point you made about this bow being able to go from 50-80 pounds with out swapping limbs is a great reason to use this set up, it makes it so much cheaper to change draw weight and still have the performance that the specific cams have. Sounds like you have a wonderful archery shop. That is one thing lacking in my area, so I end up doing it all myself. That bow stand is awesome, keeps your cams out of the dirt mud or concrete and shooting like you said, set it down easy and not worry about it. This bow will feel heavier than it is, since it is such and aggressive cam, and your right, this cam will let you know quick like if you relax at all at full draw hahah. Thew new arrow set up is on my list as well. Good luck with your new set up sir and congrats on your sub count , it is going up nicely. Keep up the great work. Have a blessed week. Dale

You’re still punching quite a bit. Try not worrying so much on hitting a dot, just let the bow settle down wherever it gets into its smallest float pattern. Just let it float there and pull not fighting anything. Try getting some black construction paper where’s there’s nothing to aim at. Exactly like blank baleing.. The black paper doesn’t show arrow holes so much so you won’t be trying to aim at holes like in a white paper. Not to worry about hitting dots yet BECAUSE YOU ARE STILL PUNCHING! Slow motion this video and see or get someone to video in slow motion. You will be surprised at what you will see. Get that big target in your garage UP ON SOMETHING where you will NOT be aiming downward at all. Get like 10-15 from it and seriously practice. And it’s not how many shots you take in a session but how well you can control those shots. Do not rush. Take at least 45 seconds or longer between shots. Cover your sight or remove it. You’re not trying to hit any spot. This may take days and days until you get the technique ingrained in your brain. When you get control your anxiety level drop tremendously.

Anytime I have target panic in I watch both the same videos and follow them lol. Especially the blind bail technique that Chris talks about. Honestly, even when I am shooting good, I warm up when practicing by doing it because it's so crucial to my shot pattern. Another tip I found was to determine if you like to focus on the pin and let the target dance/blur or focus on the target and let the pin dance/blur. I am the latter. Someone else mentioned it below, but the triangle that is formed in your release arm is a bit too tight, you want a wider triangle there. That could be a draw length issue though, you might need to lengthen your draw length. Form is looking good though, keep it up!

One thing that does help some is try this, especially if you are trying to get over "punching" the trigger. if you focus on the target, your sight pin will be in soft focus, when the sight pin is in soft focus, our brains doesnt see the floating as much as if you are focused on the sight pin and the target is in soft focused. When focusing on the sight pin, we can see this floating so much more prominently and it help add to the pressure of "punch" it now,. I am by no means a pro, just an old man who stated shooting when I was a kid and still shoot today as an old man. Keep up the good work friend dale

Keep that elbow up higher and get a taller stance. Still kinda punching the trigger some. Watch John Dudley’s school of nock. He goes through the shot process. Talking to yourself while going through the process will help. I always say. “Stance, grip. Raise the bow to the target. Anchor, peep sight, and here we go”. Seems to help. Joel turner has his own shot process as well called shot IQ

You might try rotating the thumb barrel to different positions to fit your natural thumb resting position. Small changes will get you new leverage which can allow easier shot break. Also, cover or remove the sight so you won’t have your mind etc on a target. It’s hard to not aim at some spot and this exercise is not about aiming. It will take several shooting sessions probably before you find a finger and thumb holding position that allows you a controlled clean break without any conscious thumb movement. The act of just pulling straight back will cause it to fire. In time it will become almost automatic in pulling thru to break the shot as pin has settled into its smallest float pattern. Work on not rushing any shots.

I’ve never used the trigger. Today I noticed your hand is upside down when you pull the thumb trigger. That would take a while to get used to. We had finger grips on the string, or the leather glove that covers your fingers and straps on your hand. We also had the forearm pad that went on your left arm to prevent the string from bruising your arm.

It will take time and hundreds and hundreds of shots before it gets ingrained in the brain. When done right you will absolutely feel it. Get the target up at bow level height. Stop aiming down. Wrong body and muscle setup. Everything is out of proper alignment aiming down. Take longer and mentally work on the release.

G'day from Australia mate. If I was you I would forget shooting from a distance and get up on that target and blank bale and learn to pull through the shot. Every one of those shots you can see your thumb squeezing the trigger. With the nock 2 it you should lightly wrap the trigger in first knuckle of thumb then all activation should come from pulling your elbow. Learn to shoot right then everything will follow. Cheers.
