In my experience calm sunny days are generally better at deep drop offs although the spawn changes that up in march and april. Also the "Deeper" castable fish finders are pretty sweet, if nothing else to be sure your flies aren't laying on the bottom of the sandy beaches (rocky beaches let you know real quick). Also having confidence by marking fish at specific depths and beaches is well worth the price. Fish with fishy dudes too! Hope these tips help you zero less or maybe get you thinkin
