An arrangement is the back bone of a song. Compare this to the Carpenters’ version then come back to this one. Clearly the Carpenters have the definitive recording.

I love this Victor Herbert song.I first heard it with Dame Kiri Te Kanawa in her 50th aniversary in 1994 and I loved it.Maureen Mc Gowern is excellent too.
