I went with iPad Pro M4 13 inch. wanted to use Pencil Pro features and Oled display with 3 hour extra battery life. Yes, older iPads are cheaper but they lack the AI and other software features and support, especially in the next 3-4 years.

I've had my Bose buds for over 10 years the sound quality is just as they were brand new. They've been at the gym, outside doing yard work, at the beach, at work, in planes etc. But just recently the right earbud case became almost looking stretched out. It eventually fell off. Now powering on and off the earbuds, is very difficult, I have to use tip of my fingernail. And usually takes several attempts. I wish there was some way to repair this. The sound quality is still awesome.

I have an M1 11 inch since 2022 and was Tempted more for the OLED screen than the increase chip specs for my usage but after watching this, I'll keep it for a while longer. Apple products age so well now that the contrast is nearly neglible until a huge software shift occurs which will most likely be the dawn of iOS integrated with huge complex AI features but I think M1 still has a few years of life left in it. I kept my A7 ipad Air for 6 years and it served me well. The first thing you'll always notice is battery degradation before anything else.

I have an 11-inch iPad Pro M1, and I noticed that on the 11-inch iPad Pro M4, although the screen is the same size, it seems Apple has zoomed in on the operating system. Compared side by side, the same apps now have less visible space; the text and icons are larger on the M4. What a waste of space.

The iPads don’t need better hardware. They’re already more powerful than you’d ever notice because the software limits what they can do. They need better software that would allow them to actually take advantage of all their powerful hardware.

I use the M1 as a teacher. I honestly, don't see the value in upgrading. It is way more powerful than I need. Really don't think it's worth upgrading. Not a sizable difference. I think that unless it's going to make a genuine difference in your workflow then its kinda pointless. I think if you don't have an ipad and want something more future proof then the m4 might have some value, but even then...not much

Comparing the iPad M4 to the iPad m1 is like comparing a 2024 car to a 2020 car. Nobody says that it doesn’t work but you don’t see people doing videos saying don’t buy the new 2024 car or save your money or if you’re hesitant don’t buy it, or if you’re in the market, buy it. Obviously. And cars are more expensive by the way. This whole content creator thing is nuts to me. And how does someone become a tech you tube channel person, keep doing videos until you improve the quality, download someone’s transcript and change it a bit and regurgitate the same thing someone else said? This whole thing is dumb.

One thing people and KZbinrs need to realize is that, when displaying complete black, both the OLED and the Mini LED will display no light, meaning the pixels on the OLED and the Zones on the Mini LED are completely off. They will both have the same level of “blackness”, as long as the anti-glare coatings are similar. However, when it comes to more complex scenes when there are different shades of brightness, the Mini LED will have less contrast, because many of these scenes will overlap onto the Mini LED’s zones, therefore, will cause blooming or raised black levels on certain parts of the image. With OLED, you get pixel-level control of the amount of brightness and will not have blooming issues, therefore, having greater contrast.

The screen is a huge difference if you didn’t have the mini led 12.9 from last gen. The 11 inch without the mini led compared to the new oled is night and day. The m4 is definitely worth it. Trust me. Not only for the oled but if you were on m1 which I was and I’m still keeping my m1 bc it’s still nice, there is no compromises in high end games where the m1 you always had to make compromises. And games aren’t even optimized for it yet. Guaranteed worth it. And speaking of resident evil you can tweek the files and the m4 runs in the 70fps range while the m1 is in the 20s most the time. Night and day I promise you
@JustJoshuaJoel7 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t say it’s a night and day difference but it’s definitely noticeable. If you’re an avid gamer then it might be worth the upgrade for you. But if you only game on your iPad occasionally I wouldn’t recommend the upgrade.

@@JustJoshuaJoel I dunno man I don’t play games too often on my iPad but just knowing I have the best even tho I’m keeping my m1 bc yes it’s still really nice makes me happy. And the even compared to my 11 inch m1 is so much better. The brightness alone is a great upgrade. And the last point I’ll make is the m4 is future proofed on basically everything including any games that come out for years to come. I would say at least 5 years the m4 is going to be the last iPad I’ll need to buy easily. You can’t say that about the m1 for sure. It definitely won’t be future proofed for much longer.

I think its a good think for users that M1/M2 and M4 are very similar. it means you really dont need to pay for a new model every year. You can also resell the M1/M2 and you never pay the full amount of money for slight improvement. I think its very hard for companies to improve significantly these days. What more can we expect. I think these are still huge improvements for an ipad, even if its just better screen and thinness + performance.
@JustJoshuaJoel7 ай бұрын
I agree! It really helps the overall value of your tablet if it’s still NOT obsolete after a couple generations. Makes the overall investment more meaningful. But also, I actually traded in my M1 iPad Pro to Apple directly so the new one only cost me around $600. 😬
@fapstronaut36717 ай бұрын
Bro, its a huge difference in that depth and you def. gonna notice it. Its a shame they dont ditch the camera bump, coming from remarkable 2 device, its such a nice think to have a flat device on a table. The screen is a day and night difference if you watch content at night. I hated that on M2 PRO to a point of getting a samsung s9+, but now Im really torn. I like the procreate and the pencil.
@JustJoshuaJoel7 ай бұрын
I will say the new camera bump is way less noticeable. It’s still there but it does lay far flatter than previous generations. But if you’re big into digital art I’d highly recommend the switch back to iPad. With the new pencils features it’ll make your workflow much better.

To be honest, Ipad M1 pro is more than enough and already very powerful. The miniLED screen is already beautiful.. There is no need to burn unecessary cash to have the latest shiny devices when we cannot utilize so much power and its apps. I will always prever macbook pro M2 for PRO LEVEL video editing in FCP , audio editing in logic pro . I will prefer ipad for handwritten notes - notability , goodnotes , notes app and procreate for art works, games and netfix etc.

@JustJoshuaJoel7 ай бұрын
I agree, if you're happy with your M1 iPad Pro there isn't much reason to upgrade. ESPECIALLY if you're not going to use it for video editing, illustration work, or high-end photo editing. Apple did too good of a job with the M1 chip and the newer generations of Apple silicon are an improvement but nothing revolutionary.
@JustJoshuaJoel7 ай бұрын
@@Hiimbald12 I'd disagree with that statement. LCDs aren't necessarily bad for Pro work especially considering the majority of screens are still using LCD technology. As long as they're properly calibrated LCD screens are great for professional color grading and similar work.
