This recipe is the best one I've tried by far, and I've tried many versions of this drink, made by different bartenders all over the city. Others sit heavy in the stomach, but this version is very light and ephemeral, you drink it and you'll be surprised it's already finished in just a few gulps. There's another video floating around on KZbin of him making the exact same drink where he shares more tips on how to make it perfectly every time. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qGaThaOveN-En8U

Would be very curious to try this. A ton of soda went in that glass. Maybe it’s just a very light version of the drink

This shaker is horrifically bad... there is NO leverage point anywhere to allow you to separate the canister, so it remains sealed with a suction-like grip and you can't break that seal... smacking against a counter didn't work, trying to pry open with silverware doesn't work... and attempting to do these things simply was hazardous. This is the most poorly-designed shaker I have ever used (and, ironically, by far the most expensive.) TOTAL FAIL

Bro, you're crazy! This is by far the best cobbler shaker I have ever tried. Never had the problems that you had. The best bar in America( Double chicken please currently) uses them.

How to use a 3 Piece Cobbler Shaker: Step 1: Throw the shaker in the trash. Step 2: Grab a 30oz steel cup and a tempered pint glass. Step 3: Use a metal on glass Boston Shaker because cobblers are over engineered garbage that are inferior in every way.

I saw this video and I ordered this shaker. I've been using a boston shaker but I like the technique you used, kinda like japanese bartenders. thanks!

He is influenced by japanese bartenders in many ways. I think he said it one of his interviews.

Should I spend maybe about 12 minutes to shake it. I’m not very sure about that. Because I saw many people who shake it so long
@graygeneral60292 жыл бұрын
The original recipe calls for 12 minutes of shaking, most people shake until the ice dilutes.

What was in the little bottle that u only used a few drops of?
I have to say that shaking is "Shaking'"...no matter how you do it. That said, it's best in my opinion to shake the shaker horizontal, not up and down. Shaking the "Japanese" way using too much shoulder stress is not good.
@FoieGras3 жыл бұрын
You say that and you'd be wrong. Different types of shaking give VASTLY different results. The best immersion actually involves a bit of a twisting action as well as the up and down motion. kzbin.info/www/bejne/np60XoGqdreMjaM Shoulder stress? That's nonsense. It's mostly forearm. You're not grazing against the joint. You're going in and out like how you're throwing a jab. No harm done.
