all you have to remember that the so called big roundabout is not a roundabout. just pretend that the big one is not there and tread every roundabout is normal. they were built in 1973 and had a police man at every turn so people could get used to them

This particular motorway is on the 'Pathetic Motorways' website & in one sense deservedly so! I recall a few years ago travelling down to a machine breakdown in Bracknell Forest & coming back home to Suffolk via the A308(M), M4 & M25 etc. I thought when on the motorway 'Wow that was short & sweet, the shortest motorway in Britain perhaps?' I do believe the A57(M) in Manchester city centre as well as the A64(M) is a very short motorway but perhaps the most unique motorway is the A601(M) in Lancashire from the M6 to the A6 near Carnforth when it goes down to a single carriageway motorway southbound from the M6 onto a 'B' road! Typical only in Great Britain!

An interesting time lapse video of the M50. I have been on this motorway a few times when going to Wales for holidays etc.The M50 is the only motorway in Britain to feature a T-junction at Junction 2 southwest bound I believe! It was built in 1960 & is the second oldest motorway in Britain.It is on the Pathetic Motorways website which is worth a visit! It certainly is a quiet motorway & doesn't carry a great deal of traffic.
