I wonder if there was a black neighborhood around that area during that time. My grandparents were born around 1909 and lived in a place called Pine Grove. I heard stories that some of my older uncles and aunts went to school in a board house and I'm wondering if this was the school. I'm confused about it because most all of my aunts and uncles (10 children) have passed. My mother's the youngest child and her second oldest sister, my aunt, are the only ones left. Unfortunately my mom doesn't know (b.1947) and my aunt's memory (b.1937) is not so clear.

Love this channel but you should definitely change the “Minority” term to BLACK! (Aka black American descendants of USA chattel slavery) minority these days means Latino /asian/Caribbean-african immigrants etc, just because those groups listed above aren’t white that doesn’t mean they don’t have anti black American sentiment!!
