@@DreamArtScientists no , i don't. I'm one of those old schoolers. I've got my phone and that's all i need for everyday life. I've owned a few cheap portable synthesizers ( Casio , Yamaha etc. ) thst had some really good-sounding settings. I could plug them into my amp and they'd sound great. I know that technically , things have advanced way beyond that for home use. I've thought about delving into that again , but i'll probably just stick with the guitars. I was just curious . Its obvious , with the sound quality that you're putting out that you have some serious equipment. I thought you might have had a full size keyboard synth like a Korg or Yamaha or Roland plugged straight in to whatever it is you're recording into.

@@DreamArtScientists oh nice ! Been thinking of getting one , but pretty sure it'll be too heavy. Sounds really good.
@DreamArtScientists4 ай бұрын
@@kennybluet5527 Yes, I just looked it up online, and apparently the weight is a little over 8 pounds, so kind of heavy, for sure. Also, there was an issue with mine where the saddle screw for the low E string was touching the low E string, causing an intonation problem, but that can be fixed by removing the screw and cutting it a bit shorter for the low E saddle. Your Mustang guitar's pickups probably sounds fairly similar anyway, I would guess...

It's interesting that there's a relative lack of structure in the song. You'd think that an AI would prefer to create something with more rigid parameters. Instead, everything kind of wonders between stages, not really going back and revisiting ideas or building on anything. I wonder if that's indicative of generative AI's fundamental problem- a lack of "planning ahead", so to speak. It's only "guessing" the next notes ahead, not really coming at things with a dedicated plan in mind. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about any of this! My understanding of current tech is surface level, and I don't know much specifically about the AI and the methods you used.)
@DreamArtScientists8 ай бұрын
Someone else commented on that, as well. Good observation. It think it's because the AI application I used (Suno v3) currently allows only creating a max 2 minute length song audio clip for the initial song generation, and then you have to use its feature to add on to the original song by creating max 1 minute song extensions. Currently the song extension feature is a bit glitchy, and there is a trial and error process involved when generating extensions to the original song clip to try to find a generated extension that carries on the original song clip feel reasonably well. The technology is still in its very early stages though, so no doubt that will continue to be improved upon.

Kinda pointless to not include the parameters of creation. But a very nice song none the less.

That's why I always say that AI will not take our jobs, it will not endanger jobs. Let's face it: The human race is brilliantly inventive when it comes to inventing bullshit and fake, but well paying jobs. The essence of AI is rather to hold a mirror in front of us and "caress" our soul.

Art is fundamentally about human communication. AI generated music is less than silence.

I would say art is something that can move people in one way or another. It doesn't really matter how it was created. Some people seem to like what they are hearing...

I don't care if AI or a real human made a piece of art. But it's kinda funny how artists are triggered by it. That's the best part of the internet.

Yes, some people do seem to have a knee jerk reaction to anything AI created, that it automatically must be bad overall and must be terrible quality... 🙂
