The skinny jeans became popular because of the teens by 2007 with the Emo trend, Im from that generation so I remember it well, the bell bottom seeing like nowadays was the style by 1999 to 2007 even in men, the cargo pants with a lot of pockets was popular too after 2000 in fact these trends just go and comeback but the skinny jeans from the emo trend lasted forever, over a decade, never wore them because I always liked the bootcut jeans but seeing a lot of people wearing bell bottom jeans nowadays my mind perceive that like something OLD and that’s because I saw it like 20 years ago, I loved the bell bottom jeans a lot back then but the skinny jeans stayed forever that I got used to see everyone with them so this new trend looks just old to me 😅
