Girl!!! I get a non-formaldehyde smoothing blowout my my fav stylist in NYC (yes, I fly all the way from Ohio to see him). It’s not only mild, but it’s made my hair so much healthier as someone who has transitioned from chemically treated hair. And it lasts a decent amount of time. Lmk if you want his details!

I'm literally in the same boat, super thick hair and im half relaxed half natural now after about 10 months since my last relaxer. I want to try a keratin treatment but the mixed reviews makes me nervous & i don't wanna lose my curl pattern 🥲 I might just big chop in january and keep doing braids and silk presses until then 🙃

I get keratin treatments. Very thick hair like yours. It's lasts at least 3 months. I've been natural for 5 years and my hair is waist length. No relaxers. Keratin treatments only

I would suggest getting a really good silk press. If you can find a good stylist they can do it without heat damage. Besides that, I would say get a keratin treatment and do another braid set
