572°F - 662°F or 300°C - 350°C convert °C to °F 300°C multiply by 1.8 + 32 = 572°F convert °F to °C 662°F - 32 = 630 divide by 1.8 = 350°C

Thanks a lot! I almost gave on my 12 years old laptop, with random freezes / blue screens and idle temps of 85 - 90 degrees... Then, I found your video and decided to give it a try... 2 hours later ( I really took my time because it's the first laptop I've ever opened), it was back from the deads. Idle cpu temps of 55 degrees, 60 degrees while browsing and other light activities! Next steps: battery and windows 11!

Typical Chinese move... Hard work is highly regarded, even if it means BS. Dishonesty doesn't matter to them.

This isn't a review. This covers roughly how it works though! Which is to say if you start it in the cradle, it'll go through temperature and airspeed (F01-F99 I suppose,) tapping setting once picks a temperature and twice an airspeed; the trash manual talks about hitting setting 3-4 times...why? And holding Setting 4 times gets you instant off which you should never do instead of just using the cradle and letting it slowly back to 100 degrees C then slowly shut down and turn off. (Drawing it off the cradle bringing it instantly to life, so don't feel too safe until you unplug the thing.) Anyone got more comments about using it and not melting your suction cup phone openers?

If someone were lazy to rewrite the command, here it is in text form: avrdude -c usbasp -p m8 -U flash:w:usbasp.atmega8.2011-05-28.hex

Is there an alternative way to get the drivers for this? I’m not sure how safe Zadig is. Even though i looked up the safety i’m still not sure. If i can just use windows update that will be fine for me.

Hello, I followed the video and instructions on your GitHub, but it didn't work, I believe due to the changes in the AVR toolchain. Could you update the video and the vscode configuration instructions to compile for the ATtiny family?

Very interesting video. The battery case and the circuit board looks to authentic. I would never be able to tell by just looking at the case. I had a similar situation recently...I got a cheap battery for my laptop off ebay...and the thing wont take a charge after 30 days or so. I cracked the case open only to find generic repurposed cells and one of them is down to 2.6 volt. I was able to bring it back to 4.2 volt, but too late at that point. I am not even sure I want to repurpose the already recycled cells...lol

You will get a much better crimp if you use the non-insulated wire die of your stripper rather than the insulated die that you use in the video. The shape of the die is completely different as you can see, and when you are crimping you are crimping on the metal (uninsulated) barrel. Regardless, yes, you are much better off with a good crimping tool. Even with the better tool use the non-insulated crimping die for bare metal crimping. cheers

Lol I didn't know replacing a laptop hard drive was so easy, I thought there were cables and motherboard connectors involved etc. I never opened up or even owned a laptop before, just bought a second hand one to learn Linux. Startup is very slow on the hard drive, so the ssd should help a lot.

Dell usually makes it easy to replace the battery and hard drives on their laptops (or at least they use to). HP on the other hand...
