is there that much of a difference when u flare the outseam and the inseam compared to just the inseam
@benjager7
@benjager7 3 күн бұрын
if you do the outseam it’ll look a little weird, they’ll flare out weirdly at the hem like bell bottom shorts rather than baggy shorts

Great video! I did a Miles Morales Spider-Man hoodie for Halloween last year but used T-shirt fabric for the design… definitely more finicky lol. I ended up using fabric glue instead of sewing it on but I might go back and sew it now after watching this

Mine looks odd… the flare panel parts end up kinda squishing together and it looks like a suspicious body part when I stand😭

THIS IS SO COOL 😭! Will the cut out pieces that you've sewn together fray? Also did you hide the edges of the fabric and then sewed it together? I'm a bit confused 😭

so if i want to add the flare panels to the inside, would i still measure the size for the panels the same way as you did?
@benjager7
@benjager7 9 күн бұрын
you would measure from the hem to the crotch. i did this in my baggy jorts tutorial, you can watch that i think it’ll help you out!

Hey, I got a question with your math when you say multiply the last two measurements for example my measurement was 13 from crotch to him and the width of depends I was using was 6.5 and then the measurement of the other pants were 12 was I supposed to multiply 13 and 6 or 12x6 but still I’m measuring in inches and that would’ve given me a crazy number so I don’t really know how to do the math on that part. Can you show me?
@Puppetlesss
@Puppetlesss 17 күн бұрын
Or was it 6.5×2 because the difference of 6.5 and 12 is 6.5
@benjager7
@benjager7 16 күн бұрын
it would be 12 - 6.5 x 2 so your width of the flare penal would be 11 and then you’d want to add a seam allowance to that

hey ben, 2:03 what did u divide and why? im sorry if its a dumb question, im stuck on that bit. great vid btw, keep it up
@benjager7
@benjager7 15 күн бұрын
i marked in a straight line already, so i dived 7 by two to find out how far i need to mark on either side of my center line. the flare is 7 inches wide, and the middle point is 3.5 inches inches in from each edge

Yo bro i have a question how do you sew on top of the sleeves of an arm?
@benjager7
@benjager7 Ай бұрын
you have to feed the hoodie through on the sewing machine until you reach the arm area, making sure to keep one layer of fabric in between the presser foot and sewing bed. then you start pulling the arm fabric away all around the presser foot kind of cratering it around. i know this might sound very confusing but go watch a video where i make a hoodie and you should be able to see what i mean
