I leave it plugged into power all the time. I do not turn it off. I have the backlight duration set to the max. This seems to be working good for me. Seems to be well built and very solid. Personally I want the backlight to say on at full power all the time. It is plugged in all the time so battery drain is not a concern for me. I do not like the idea of the backlight trying to keep up with me when I reach for the keyboard.
