I've had my RT-700 Bull for over 4 years now. I've never had any issues with cold temperatures & I've cooked in below zero several times. Only problem was going outside to check on the food. Brrrrrr!

What do you guys do about not having a pellet dump? Seems like a major issue.
@carolinabluesmokebbqoutdoo25117 күн бұрын
I've never dumped by pellets or have a need to. If I want a different smoke profile I just add the wood chunks on top of the heat shield to add a different smoke profile.

@@carolinabluesmokebbqoutdoo2511 Thanks for getting back to me! That sounds like a good idea about adding more smoke and changing flavors but my concern is humidity getting at the pellets in the hopper and ruining them.
@carolinabluesmokebbqoutdoo25116 күн бұрын
@@pmaint1 I've had mine for 4 years and never had an issue with humidity getting into the hopper. I'm not saying it cannot, but we live in NC and it gets pretty humid here. Not like some states, but it does get pretty humid. I also usually run it down pretty low and only add back about how much I would need for a cook. If it is a long cook I will fill it up all the way. It holds 40 LBS as well.

I bought some of these after watching this video. They work pretty good, what I like the most is that they are thin enough that they don't interfere with opening and closing the hood on my 28" Range Top Combo griddle. I have a set of Blackstone wind guards but these work better to where the BS guards bind the hood. I need to pick up a couple more as I only got four initially just to try them out.

I love my RT700. I live in Montana and I use it all the time in the cold weather with no issues. I dont normally run when bellow zero but when it gets above zero then game on. I do put the recteq insulated blanket on during the cold months and definately helps with pellet consumption. One thing you can guarantee with a recteq is consistent temps. Thing runs within a degree or two almost always. Really why I went with the recteq. My only complaints with the RT700 is that it has no removable second shelf or pellet drain. I have owned my RT700 for 4 or 5 years now.

They are 3 kick slides in by the time the ball gets to the qb now.
