I'm actually questioning the whole "Arkham Origins was LOATHED AND HATED AND SHAT ON DURING RELEASE" considering most people I've talked to have no extremely negative thoughts about it and I even checked some older videos and a lot of people were fine with it and the ones that did have criticism seemed very valid. Specifically about the PC launch being an unplayable mess or reusing old stuff which would be more fine imo if it were the same developers, but I know Origins had some development problems and had to rush stuff. Even on the IGN review people are complaining on the complaints back then and the funny part is IGN gave it a 7.8!! Round that up and it's an 8/10 which would make it great. I actually recently replayed Origins and I think it's fine, but doesn't make me go wow playing it after Arkham City. It's like a nice treat to have while waiting for the bigger product. I'd say I stil prefer City and Knight over Origins, but it has a lot of nice stuff so I would put it above Asylum like some story bits they could do since it's still early Batman like Alfred being more undecided about how much he wants to support his endeavours(not as impressive as some comic runs, but video games are a different medium so I don't wanna compare). I would like to type more, but I don't have that much free time, typing this much can get boring and I'd probably wanna double check before I make more statements which would take up even more time. Personally, I'll gladly take any chance to hate on Arkham or DCAU Batman, but I'll also be honest and admit that I don't have very good reasons too (or they arguably go past nitpick level).

I don't want a new batman game in general, but being realistic here, at least do a different member of the family. I would like another gotham knights, but solo games about nightwing, red hood, Batgirl (any one of them specifically Cass), Robin, Red Robin etc would be just fine.

Just make a game set in a new universe start with bruce as batman make 2 or 3 games with bruce as he gets older make a batman beyond game with either damian or terry as batman

Arkham batman is definitely not a good batman. He constantly makes horrible mistakes, his intelligence is inconsistent, and he is a terrible hero. You can gladly discuss this with me, maybe someone can change my mind. He makes horrible mistakes. 1. In Arkham city, when batman is going to Joker's hideout, he just walks straight towards harley. This is horrible. Just minutes earlier, batman was kicked out of the room and had to fight multiple people. Batman should expect an ambush and use his detective Vision to look around the room. Given that joker jumps on batman from his right side, Bruce would have definitely seen him, if he had taken a look around. He is constantly hyped up to be smart, yet he is also dumb enough not to look around a highly dangerous room. If batman had done that, then he would have never gotten Joker's blood into his body, meaning he wouldn't be in a constant state of near death and he wouldn't have hallucinations. 2. In arkham knight, Batman has the chance to knock crane out at ace chemicals, yet he doesn't. After crane mentions barbara, bruce just forgets everything, throws crane on the ground and redirects his attention to his wrist communicator. This directly leads to the death of hundreds, due to the cloudburst, and batman's identity being made public. Bruce could have thrown crane on the ground, and then placed his foot on top of his torso, like he does with multiple thugs, to restrain him. He could have knocked crane out and then thrown him into the batmobile to restrain him. Letting a highly dangerous villain out of your sight is the dumbest thing you could do. 3. His wrist communicator is horrible. Not only does he already gave one in his cowl, but sending out a screen of the person he is talking to is unecessarily putting his secret identity at risk. Imagine if someone saw him talk to Alfred. It is also the worse option, as his previous communicator on his cowl did not pose any threat of being found out, and no one other than himself could hear the other person. 4. In suicide squad kill the justice league, Batman has horrible security meassures. The room, in which the squad meet wonder woman, can be accessed by a simple Finger print. Not only did Batman bypass a System that requires a whole hand scan in arkham knight, but the batcave in arkham asylum had better security. In arkham asylum, Batman had to let his whole body get scanned to gain access. If the same security were to be applied to the room in kill the justice league, then the squad would have never gained access. The panessa studios in arkham knight required a voice identification. That is far better than a simple Finger print. Batman should be aware of that. Why did the room not have the same Kind of protection? 5. After learning of Batman's secret identity, bane was able to easily destroy the batcave. Bane doesn't have access to any Kind of high tier technology, yet he was able to just waltz into Batman's batcave, with zero difficulty. Bruce should have all kinds of security meassures against a hostile takeover. He is horrible at protecting things. 6. In suicide squad kill the justice league, harley is able to Operate the batcomputer, after making a horrible impression of batman's voice. Batman, the world's greatest detective, master strategist and genius did not bother to create a secret passcode that must be entered before operating his computer. It wasn't like harley used the voice Synthesizer, she just made a really bad impression of his voice. That means that anyone can access Batman's Information on his computer, by just speaking in a low voice. 7. Batman explains his technology in the hall of justice. This place is something that regular people can visit. This needlessly takes the risk of a villain learning about batman's technology. They can prepare for These things now. That just gives Batman's enemies more Information on his equipment, which is always bad. His intelligence is inconsistent. 1. In the origins dlc 'cold cold heart,' Batman is smart enough to have created a suit for extreme Environments. This shows that he is capable of planning ahead. The suit also protects his mouth and nose. In arkham asylum, Batman is attacked by fear gas, where these protective meassures are not found. We know that gas masks are only useless against fear toxin in arkham knight, meaning at any other time, a gas mask would help. Batman could simoly integrate the mouth and nose protection from his extreme Environment suit into his other suits. This would provide protection against the fear toxin and also the gas that was in the room full of police officers in arkham asylum. Batman is smart enough to create a whole new suit for certain Environments, but he is also dumb enough not to carry any kind of protection for fear toxin in arkham asylum. This makes him horribly inconsistent.

We all hate exclusivity but we also need to be realistic, Single player AAA games are very expensive and without live service BS they don't make that much money. The only reason we are getting Arkham Shadow is because Meta bankrolled it. Personally I don't care about another Rocksteady game that may or probably won't come up in 5-10 years we have a new Arkham game in October.

I actually encourage Rocksteady to keep making Batman games, but Arkham needs to be put to rest. After Arkham Shadow, they should hang up the cowl and maybe go on to another superhero or their own stories. Kevin Conroy is straight up the best Batman voice actor/actor but he isn't why I don’t want them to continue. What would they do with the story?! I don’t want more "before Asylum and after Origins" crap, I just want Arkham to end. My favorite series, but I think it should be over. I disagree, I don't think that just because Kevin's no longer with us that we can't get more from batman in this franchise. Arkham Shadows has proven that and Rocksteady can do the same and could make another whole trilogy that ties the gap between Asylum and Shadows with Roger they don't need to do a sequel but if they do make a sequel to knight yes it'll be not the same without his voice but it needs to fit and make sense story wise an if it does then I don't mind as people do want suicide squad to be retconned with a true follow up to knight unless they say its not cannon then I'm fine with Kevin's Batman ending at Knight or do a Soft Reboot.

I know this may be crazy but Id much rather WB Montreal continue the Arkham series than Rocksteady, there is still so much they could do with the story after Origins. I'd really like to see that voice cast return too-- give them their own trilogy

Any complaints could really only apply to Arkham knight Batman and even then they have a really good explanation behind them. Asylum and city Batman don’t really act THAT much differently from BTAS Batman outside maybe being slightly meaner I guess? I explained why Batman "Replace" Jason and a bunch of other stuff like his compassion, Robin, Talia, and why he acts a certain way on my channel.
