Thanks m8 I decided to put the Capo on 4th Fret as I think it sounds the best. Hope you're doing okay with this storm at the moment?

@FretboardFundamentals yeah I think so too mate, the guitar with the capo on 4 is the whole way through, to my ears there's a 2nd guitar with a capo on I think I said 9 last week discussed? Pretty sure the 2nd one is only playing the finger picking bit and comes in with chords during the chorus only, may be just my ears but it sounds like that voicing to me. When I play it, I do it capo on 4 every time. Yeah we are okay mate, very high winds, the neighbours fence and shed are gone but we are okay so far. Hope it's all okay over your way fella 👍

@@PellPas I got the guitar tab for the song and watched some tutorials/lessons on youtube but there is something wrong I think so I'm asking for a 2nd opinion from you. The tab and the video lessson say Billie Joe plays a 3rd to 4th to 5th fret i.e. 5 0 3 pattern twice but watching this video of Billie Joe performing an acoustic version kzbin.info/www/bejne/iIKppal3m62hmqc it looks he plays a 5 0 3 then 4th to 3rd to 5th fret i.e 0 5 3 pattern instead or am I needing glasses lol.

@ well first thing he changed the tunning in this one, pretty sure it’s 1/2 half down, this is how i learned years ago kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3S4g6SVZtV_qtUsi=fp5zvM3Fx6XUKdXj It doesn’t help much too that in the link you sent, the mic stand blocks a bit the view. I think the video i send should match the tabs on ultimate guitar for example. Hope this helps buddy! I took me a while to remember the pattern correctly lol !

Hi Reuben you start off by hitting the A String twice, then slide from the B to the C#, the down to the D string you play E and F#, then on the G string you play the A and back to the D string from F# to E then lastly on the A string you play C# to C and onto the E Chord. Hope that helps you out.

Well done, mate. This is one of those songs that comes along perhaps once in a generation. I just discovered it last night (thanks to Paul Weller including it in his 7 most influential songs), and it slayed me, as Dylan might have said... Thanks for showing me how to play it.

Thanks m8 for the kinds words and your own channel looks great, I've subbed to it as I want to have a look at your Smiths tutorials. With this song it kinda sounds unique not the typical Noel Gallagher song and maybe that's why it stands out so beautifully with the vocals and the Accordian.

Hi Bill there are websites that can isolate not just vocals but other instruments as well but they tend to charge you, I use a free program called SpleeterGui and it does a good job at isolating the vocals. One final thing is that sometimes people post isolated vocals of songs on KZbin.

@FretboardFundamentals
@FretboardFundamentals 29 күн бұрын
Hi Jürgen I transposed it from the sheet music unless the sheet music is wrong as (with Capo on the 1st Fret) the sheet music says it's D/E to A/E back to D/E which is Cadd9 to G back to Cadd9 on the 3rd Fret. As I said maybe the sheet music got it wrong.

@@FretboardFundamentals I would just start with their greatest hits album and then their most popular albums which are American Idiot, Dookie and 21st Century Breakdown. @najlis1784 Thanks for the info. So I decided to get 3 albums the first was the greatest hits album which is a great idea as it should have their most popular singles on it, 2nd I got Warning as you said it is more acoustic and less rock and finally I got American Idiot as online that album seems to be recommended a lot. So thanks to the both of you and later I'll sit back and have a good listen to them.
