So for the last inference, it is stated that the chinese government omit several key areas from its official spending figures. The passage also states that the Chinese government fail to include many other areas, and an example is R&D within military spending. Is it not then to be assumed that this is probably true, considering that there is enough information to indicate indefinitely that the chinese government excludes key areas?
@AssessmentDayLtd3 ай бұрын
Thanks for your question :) So you are right that omissions are acknowledged in R&D, but does not mention anything about other areas like agriculture, human rights, or law. The inference makes a broad claim that goes beyond what is stated in the passage by suggesting omissions in multiple unrelated areas. To verify this, more information would be needed.

I do not agree with the answer on the assumption qq on charities paying less taxes. The statement states that, charities can charge less on books as compared to other bookshops because the don't pay VAT. If charities are paying more tax aside VAT, then not paying VAT doesn't mean they can charge less. So the assumption that charities pay less tax is made

so i started by counting. in total we have 3 up arrows 2 down arrows 2 right arrows 1 left arrow the single left arrow got me thinking that maybe we need to equalize what we have left. theres only 2 choises that point left which then lead me to see the location of the arrows and i concluded that it goes clockwise and there was only 1 choise left and it fit.
@AssessmentDayLtd6 ай бұрын
Love the creativity! While counting arrows isn't exactly the secret to this one, it's awesome that you saw a pattern and ran with it. Just a heads-up, for a pattern based on equal numbers, everything would need to be the same. But hey, you managed to pick the right one! :)

We understand super tough q's can be frustrating. Our goal is to provide a range of difficulty levels that mimic what you might see on a real test. This way, you'll be prepared for anything! Don't worry if you get stuck on a few - that's totally normal, all candidates will be getting questions wrong. The key is to focus on your own growth, better to encounter these questions now than on the real test!
@cyborgsi25 күн бұрын
@@AssessmentDayLtd Ok - my question is: How on earth have these tests anything whatsoever to do with the firefighting job that I am going for? It's absolutely ridiculous with the amount of time given. I can work out what the questions mean eventually but I think it's utter madness for each question to be under a minute. Why don't you do an 18 minute 18 question video of one of your colleagues taking them? Then we can see if they're actually achievable or not.
@AssessmentDayLtd25 күн бұрын
@@cyborgsi I can understand your frustration, but numerical and mechanical reasoning are quite important for firefighting. Quick calculations are often needed to be made for interpreting gauges or working out how much hose is needed. These tests help assess performance under time pressure, which is a reality of the job. Critically, these tests are also a very effective way to initially screen candidates. Fire services receive many applications, and these tests help to efficiently identify individuals who possess the necessary aptitude. This saves everyone's time and resources by ensuring that further stages of the selection process (like interviews and practical assessments) are focused on candidates who have demonstrated a baseline level of these crucial skills.
@cyborgsi24 күн бұрын
@@AssessmentDayLtd Yep I understand - thanks for the reply. I was just getting frustrated because I wasn't finding the right type of assessments for the firefighting job - as in they were all numerical rather than ladder lengths/pump ratios etc. (which I have more of a chance of answering correctly!) I've just completed the final assessment so it really is just in the hands of the Gods now! It was worth paying £15 for the assessments as it made me work harder.

Hello, I disagree with your answer to Question 14. An assumption was not made. You say an assumption was made, however, in your reasoning, you say that 'the statement says that because VAT has to be charged by non-charities, the prices they charge customers HAVE to be higher'. This is not true. Nowhere in the statement does it say that. It merely states that they CAN charge less. The potential remains, according to the statement, for charities to charge lower prices despite this. It does not assume, therefore, that VAT increases the prices customers pay for things, only that VAT pertains to this happening potentially. I am not assuming, when I say that charities do not pay VAT and can therefore charge customers less for books if they wish, that non-charities will always therefore charge more, nor that VAT always increases costs. This does not logically follow. It appears you have simply got the language confused here. 'can charge higher prices' and have to charge higher prices' are not the same.

I noticed that in rows 2 and 3, the black square is rotating in an anticlockwise manner. This observation can also assist in selecting the correct answer for row 1. Therefore, in row 1, the rotation of the black boxes should be anticlockwise, which aligns with the answer you were given.

Another day on the planet of fools :( there is huge unemployment around the world; it is growing, so the companies need to find a reason why they do not give you a job. Lines for jobs in Capitalism are very long, there is no such thing as right to a job, right to a free health care, right to a free apartment, right to free education. Wage slaves must work and make their masters richer and richer, including politicians who promise you a better life. It's all about the system. If there is slavery there are slaves, if there is feudalism, then there are serfs, if there is capitalism there are the unemployed, poverty, homeless, economic crisis, stress and fear of losing your money, no pensions in many countries etc. and poor working hard wage slaves. You cannot change this until you change the system. But we live on the planet of fools whose logical part of brain is dead (no wisdom). We sooner get to the WW3 than solve all these issues on the planet of fools. Earth is the only planet in the universe where humans print money, and the states and people say we have no money, where do we get money?

Wait, wait .... so many questions... First, what is the original fare? Only if the 4 friends went together or if the 5 friends went together without the discount offer? Second, where does the 5th friend come from? Are they doing a two-way travel or do the 4 friends pick them up from the Isle of Man? All of these questions do not allow you to give a definite answer since they are not specified as required information in the math problem.

5 th friend is joining them for the whole trip.. if this is correct then the total fare will be 5*80 (inbound) = 400 5*80 (*0.2 -80 %) discount . 480 .. why are we calculating for 4 friends when 5 are traveling.. 800 is the total fare (5 friends inbound and outbound).. return flight = 80.. 480/800 = 0.6 - 1 = 40% so they saved 320 no.. or did i get the question wrong?
