For ones criticizing him, Maynard uses his voice in a brilliant way but doing songs like these is pretty hard on stage.... you need a control of highs and lows that is not human.... sometimes he saves songs using different range (like in ''the outsider'' but he stopped the scream because he was taking it too high.... saving the out of tune thing.... details that only nerds like me notice) but is very difficult to reach a scream when you are going through a lot of shades in the same song (like he did in ''3 libras remix'' when it was totally useless to do that, holy fuck :D ....) ... sometimes he saves them with a brilliant falsetto or nasal voice. The bass... he was developing the low vocal range using thick skirt.... it was amazing. Love ''The package'', ''Blue'' and ''By and down'' and AWESOME ''Rose'' when his angry voice came to the surface........ remember he was touring with Puscifer at the same time, in the same festival too. So imagine how it is for a singer to hold performances in two different bands . Love him.

Been a fan of Tool and A Perfect Circle for many years but I could never understand Maynard standing off in the shadows while he sings. If I'm gonna pay big money to see a concert I want to see the singer!
