Awesome video thanx, I had a tornado table years ago......I just got an old Garlando g500 from a guys Florida room, I literally paid $50 for it I'm getting ready to pull it apart and sort it out It has telescoping rods on it with the players molded/presses to the outer rods (I think) Any tips on how to sort those out or should I just buy more?

Back in the day 70’s and 80’s when my partners and I went into Chicago suburbs bars to play foosball many times the tables were not maintained…. Our quick fix clean and lube in a bar setting was to clean the rods with folded cardboard bar coasters in a back and forth motion:.. And then buy a stick of Slim Jim from the bar and grease the rods with it… Not the best way but worked great in a pinch on the old Tournament Soccer tables😅…. My partners and I were dominant in TS in the Joliet area back then… Played in 3 World Championships At Playboy Towers in Chicago… I currently own a Chicago Gaming Gibraltar table… I wish I would have bought the new Warrior instead… Great table.. The best today in my opinion… I just replaced my rod bearings with bushings…. A little slower but when siliconed they are good enough… Im 68 years old and can still play:.. But I miss my blinding offensive play back in the day of Tournament Soccer …By blinding I mean not seeing the ball when I shot…I had the privilege of seeing some of the top players from all over the world……I made to the top 8 in Amateur Doubles…Hearing 110 foosball tables going at once is an amazing experience:…

Great video of maintenance followed by a slo-mo illegal spin shot lol

*It's called a snake shot (or rollover), and it's super common in proper foosball. Although most people don't know how to play proper foosball or even know the actual rules unless they play seriously. The reason why it's not considered a spin is because the foosball man starts on top of the ball (front pin), and does a rotation (about 320º or so) and hits the ball (which resets the spinning motion). In other words, the followthrough doesn't count as part of the original rotation. It's only considered a spin if the foosball man spins a complete 360º before making contact with the ball.*

Another tip: use plastic polish like Meguiar's PlastX or any auto paint fine polish with the paper bag and you'll get it even smoother.

This "fooball" is so different from the one where on CR, it seems like these ones are easy to control, here the doll feet are square so it is more difficult to control the ball,

I just added a foosball table to my bear cave, barricade meaning of a Chicago Bear fan oh, I just noticed that this video is 8 years old, so you might not get my question, but if you do, my question is how do I make it even so that it is fair for all players, where should I be able to sit the ball, or is there even such a thing, I just wanted to be a fair game for all that play

0:17 *I sometimes see players do this: when setting up for the snake shot, they front pin, and then they rotate the man in a reverse rollover and place it back in front pin. Is there any advantage to do this over just leaving it in front pin and just moving your hands to place the handle on your wrist?*
@collencole42614 жыл бұрын
My understanding is that it helps put the rod in the correct position on your wrist. If you think about it, it makes a lot of sense.
@AzNightmare4 жыл бұрын
@@collencole4261 *Yes, I think after about 3 months, I came to that conclusion too. Cause they're reversing the rollover for the wind up. I guess for me, I've always just positioned my wrist on the handle from muscle memory. Maybe not as consistent.*

Do you have a video on leveling a table? I used a torpedo level and the bubble is in the middle but the balls seem to roll to one side.
@rainmankb79704 жыл бұрын
Try using a steel ball bearing...put it on the playing surface and see which way it rolls and adjust the leg levelers accordingly.....
