Incredible presentation skills, from the eye contact every now and then to the paced speech and on-screen action, very few 'uhmm's and 'ahhh's, concise.. Really, really great stuff. Channels like yours should be reference for good KZbin educational material.

Enjoyed the video and learned a lot. Looking for a video that when creating workflows with many processes I can have a high level frame that shows all the processes but then have a link in the frame that would take me to a new frame that breaks down that process into its own specific workflow. Does this exist?

Thanks for tihs David. What main camera are you using during this presentation? The picture is great. I'm actually looking for the best camera for Zoom - okay with another hardware purchase.

Hello, at my job, we use Miro during Agile planning. The board is Huge with many teams. Of course, my team's portion of the board is all the way to the right, athe "the end" of the board. On the far left, is a Program Board where I need to adjust stickies too. Is there a way to add a bookmark at each end so that I can jump back and forth from each end of the board?
@DavidMathew82
@DavidMathew82 5 ай бұрын
You can right click on objects and there should be an option to copy a link. This link will move you to that object on the board. So after copying the link, add this link on the opposite side of your board so you can click to be taken to the other side. You can also link to frames which I think would be a better way to jump to something at the proper zoom level. One trick you can use links like this for is to set the starting view for the board to an overview section and then have links to jump to the right places from there. This can be a better way to orient someone new to a board instead of just dropping them to a random place or a zoom out of the whole board.

I bought a new computer and downloaded Video Speed Controller and none of the changes I made to the settings are working. When I hit J or A it advances to 16x. Which I don't want. I'm trying to set a key, any one I don't care, so I can advance and skip ahead 30 seconds with the press of a key. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong but the changes are not taking effect. I have Video Speed Controller on my computer in the office and that one runs on Windows 7 and I have no problems with making changes to the Video Speed Controller on the old computer. Don't know what my problem is, this computer is brand new out of the box and only set up hours ago. Nothing else is causing problems yet, just setting new commands on Speed Controller.

@DavidMathew82
@DavidMathew82 Жыл бұрын
It’s an extension for your web browser (chrome, etc). If you open or drag one of those video files from your downloads folder into your web browser it would likely work. This extension works on any video being played in your web browser, not just KZbin. Another option for video files that you have downloaded would be to get the free VLC media player and use that to change the playback speed, although I’m not sure how fast it allows.

Hi David, Great video! Very handy to work with the frames and easily adjust everything and share it with people who want to see something. I have a question about deepen into a frame. Is there a possibility to just click on a post-it or something in a frame and that will guide you to a deeper level and go back if you want? It looks like the presentation mode in Prezi. Thank you already!
@DavidMathew82

Usually right clicking on an item will have an option to copy a link to that item within the board. You could copy a link to a frame like this and then use that link on a new object on the board which as a sticky note or a text block. Then when you click the link it would reframe to that board. This should give you the prezi effect if you put frames within frames. The only challenge I’ve seen with this is I’m not sure you can remove the drop shadow on the frame, so your frames are visible.

I was hoping this video would cover how to enter divisions for different sections inside a frame. Hopefully, I will find a video.
@DavidMathew82
@DavidMathew82 2 жыл бұрын
Can you describe more of what you're trying to do? Frame are for the most part the primary container for things in Miro. You could put frames inside frames which will allow you to see them in the frames panel and then use these sub-frames to group things inside your frames. That would be my suggestion for if you want sections inside of one frame that is navigable via presentation mode (a good way to create a Prezi style presentation). If you're looking to just visually separate sections of a frame you can do things like drawing out a rectangle for the background of the area you'd like, then make sure you do a "send to back" to make sure it's behind everything and then lock it so you can put things on top of it without accidentally moving that background object. I think I touched on this in the later portion of this video. Anyway, hope this helps. If not, let me know more specifics for your use case and I'll try to offer what advice I can.

Anyone know how to set the location of where the control will be displayed?
@DavidMathew82

I think it remembers the location if you drag it around. You can turn it on and off entirely with the v key. You can also adjust the opacity of the controls in the settings so it's more see-through.

I'm running into content I can't speed up with apps/extensions like this. It acts like flash content but I don't think we use flash any longer. Anyone have any tips?
@DavidMathew82
@DavidMathew82 2 жыл бұрын
Right click that content and see if it mentions flash, if so it's possible you have settings that allow flash to be turned on. You can disable flash and it may fall back to using HTML 5 which is what is required for this extension to work. You might also check the list of exclusions in the Options for this extensions or the settings in Chrome for which sites to allow it to run on. It's possible it could be a permission issue where the extension is not running which is why you don't see the controls.
