How heavy are these bars? Do they affect handling?
@advdan3 ай бұрын
I can’t remember exactly how much they weigh but off the top of my head, only about a bag of sugar each side. And I don’t think it will affect the handling as it’s an equal weight each side of the bike. Might affect the aerodynamics if you’re a racing kinda guy though 🧐

Is that all you did for your 6k service? I have mine coming up soon and of course the dealer telling me to bring it in...not sure I wanna spend the $$$ though!
@advdan4 ай бұрын
In your service manual it will tell you what needs to be done, or you can find it online. It really is just oil, filter, can change out the coolant (if you want) and then just a general check over the bike to make sure all the bolts are tightened properly, check wheel bearings etc. Although if you do it yourself it will void the Warranty (apparently) It’s ridiculous really
@kee76784 ай бұрын
Great video thanks. You made it look easy...but...even I might try to do this myself. Thanks mate!

The bike is filthy, do you not clean it?? The state of the old chain says it all😢😢
@advdan5 ай бұрын
I do clean it after every ride with a jetwash, just no point making it showroom shiny when I ride 90% off-road. Once a month it gets a solid clean though. It hadn’t been ridden for 4 months over the winter and my garage is really damp, so it’s pretty unavoidable to get rust on the chain

Nice video Dan! Just curious why didn't you tighten the chain adjuster lock nut? -- kzbin.info/www/bejne/gV7MiXutnJt1orM. Also when you rolled it away I heard the wheels squeal. Mine does that too. Do you know any way to fix it? I tried brake cleaner on the brakes pads which helps but after one ride the squealing is back!!!
@advdan6 ай бұрын
Well, the morning after I filmed this, I took the wheels off and got the tyres changed over for summer off road ones. To be honest, I just had to put the wheel back on for video continuity 😂 The only thing I can think of is that the wheel bearings are on the way out. When I took the wheels to the shop for tyres, the guy noticed that the spacers have worn out on one side, which means the bearings are loose. (wish I could post a photo on here so you could see what I mean) The noise could also be to do with the fact that I didn’t ride the bike for 3 months before the new chain 😐 ashamed of myself for the lack of maintenance
