I did have one somewhere, it got lost in the house move and I only realised as I was gathering tools for this service 😬 Thanks so much, just making videos that I’d personally like to watch. I prefer just the sound of tools and ambient noise 👊🏻

Use hiflo oil filters and they have a hex nut on the end and you can use a socket or basic box wrench

That might be the smartest way Ive ever seen somebody remove an oil filter 😅 those things are always tightened by Hulk hands.

Haha! It’s the very first way I learned to do them on an excavator about 15 years ago. Still the best way as it drains all the oil out the filter too 👍🏻

Are there any tips for chain tension setting when you are on your own? The manuals suggest it needs to be done off the centre stand.

I use a rear paddock stand and place some weight on the seat.

Front wheel chock is the way to go if it’s a solo job.

what kind of windshield do you have on it? and are you happy with it?

It’s the standard one, I just cut around 6 inches off it. It’s way better for off-road but not great on tarmac rides

Is that all you did for your 6k service? I have mine coming up soon and of course the dealer telling me to bring it in...not sure I wanna spend the $$$ though!

In your service manual it will tell you what needs to be done, or you can find it online. It really is just oil, filter, can change out the coolant (if you want) and then just a general check over the bike to make sure all the bolts are tightened properly, check wheel bearings etc. Although if you do it yourself it will void the Warranty (apparently) It’s ridiculous really
