It is stupid and dumb to compare Baba Awo with a moron
@kofirenner2274Күн бұрын
I would have loved to hear more of his 'Mysticism' and journey through it. Deep calls to deep. Baba knew he was going. Spiritual. Indeed he was a rose cross member. Indeed an interesting man and one who some say was desperate for power . Today, many Yoruba elite who should have emulated and even done better than Awo, are more of touts, vagabonds and lacking in deep thinking and thought process.

I humbly wish to confirm Dr Tokunboh Dosunmu's comments that Papa Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo was a Mystic. Some 40+ years ago Chief Obafemi Awolowo warned - Do not rig the forthcoming election! If you do! You would rig the Country Nigeria out of existence! Some of his admirers are still waiting with abated caution about what Nigeria will turn out to be. Kolawole Lawrence.

Expect an IGBO to lie to cover up for the barbaric act..All i see is two IGBO brothers trying to push agenda to make people feel the northerners are evil...because they have no tangible fact on why they wanted to take power for themselves..which every one knows it was because of their GREED AND DESIRE TO DOMINATE EVERY OTHER TRIBE..BUT THE RESISTED AND RETALIATE, NOW THEY HAVE NO OPTION THAN TO BE PLAYING VICTIM CARDS 😂, BUSY PUBLISHING BOOKS TO TWIST HISTORY..SHAMELESS CLOWNS

The problems of Nigeria today is be enemy of the truth. How come president Obasanjo, handing over Nigeria to Alihaji Shehu Sagari instead of a normal intellectual man rather that a cattle rearea without any good to offer the country and now formal president is lamenting about corruption in the land. Who planted Nigeria into what we are today. OPPORTUNITY LOST. WHO TO BLAME.????.

I need to buy this book to add to my collection and knowledge. What the author has said is 100% correct. It will NEVER be well for Nigeria until we realise the mere geographical expression or should I say contraption called Nigeria was designed to FAIL but to originally benefit the British and then the indigenous political elites.

Everyone loves to defend his own, the Igbos will defend Ojukwu and Zik, the north, Ahmadu Bello and Balewa and the yorubas Awolowo. I disagree with the interviewee's disposition on Ifeajuna and Banjo. Biafra could have won the war had Ojukwu listened. Ademoyega's "Why We Struck" explains clearly.
@ogumkainnocent36511 күн бұрын
This man is shamelessly shameful.... I have never seen a yoruba historian who likes the igbos. See him defending Awolowo. Even when all evidence are there that both him and Azikiwe did same thing and the coup would have favoured awolowo. He just hates igbos... Idiot

The best example for African countries is China. Before our very eyes China moved from poor 3rd world nation to 1st World superpower. How did they do it? How can we adapt their example to our circumstance? Those are the questions African leaders should be seeking answers to. Until then, we should not be apologetic at all in seeking alliances with Russia, China and Iran to balance our current vassalage to the US led bloc
