That Muay Thai guy is throwing dirt on its name, brother has some slow and honestly what seems to be weak kicks, not try to down play the karate guy he can eat the damage it seems, it's just the Muay Thai guy just isn't delivering strong strikes his balance is off, his strikes are sloppy, and slow. I just feel if this was a professional the karate would hold up for some time but ultimately he would be toast.

Why is a kyokushin guy going to the mat ? If you want to rule change use a kyokushin kudo fighter.... Bulls hit.

I done Muay Thai for 12 years, many of those guys are absolute machines, they will simply destroy most people, the Karate guy done his Dojo proud, I guess there was some kind of agreement on rules, as didnt see the normal elbows, knees and takedowns that we would normally subject you to, I recommend any Martial Artist to spend a month at a good Gym in Thailand.

Man, that karateka was tough! I thought the fight was gonna be over the moment he received the first low kick.

When i was a Uchi Deci in Cardiff/Wales under sensei now Shihan Gary Bufton we were around in GB and i also went to Barcelona to see EM in knockdown, but when i saw Glen Sharp fighting it became very clear for me that kyoukushinkai was the one and only in competition because he was more machine and he was going out to break his opponent as fast as he could and others fighters fear him because he was brutal and did not care if other fighters punch him he was going and going for a win.

He ate them kicks n punches but when you cant take a punch to the face, your martial art isnt worth practicing. He coulda just been a kickboxer or something

Having trained in traditional Karate-Do for 12 years, I can say with certainty that Japanese fighting styles makes your body hard and able to take a lot of hits. In practice, we don't do head shots, so we fall like bricks with the slightest contact!

the fight was according to the rules of karate and not mua thai. if the fight had been according to the rules of Muay Thai, the karate would have flown away in a minute.

Each and every single one of the punches they throw are very poweful, and they launch them in a flurry of attacks, so you could have an idea of 1) how quickly they could demolish someone regular, and 2) how hard their bodies are to withstand so many hits of such a caliber.

That was a poorly arranged tourney unless there was an open division and even then his coach should have been able to prevent him from entering the open competition.
