Hi Dant. Not sure what you are trying to say there. Cheers, Kraza.

On initially cleaning the fish, why didn't you remove the gills? They already appear discoloured. Gills are the first part of the fish to go off and should always be removed. Otherwise a very interesting video, as usual. I have never seen a filleting job done in this way.
@FlyFishingwithKraza.-to4lf21 күн бұрын
Hi Gary. I was not aware that the gills need to be removed. This trout was put into the freezer when I got home the day it was caught. Did some research and you are correct. The gills should be removed as well as the intestines. I found this way of filleting saved the most meat when I did my research. Glad you found the video interesting. Thanks for the comment. Cheers, Kraza......

My boys are 5 and 10. No interest in fishing yet, but I’m still hopeful one of them is keen. I struggle to find time to get out with young kids at home. I’m always interested to see what’s happening at different waters across the state so I’ll be following your channel to see what’s firing and where. Cheers!

Thanks again. Tullaroop is favourite lake of mine, I've fly-fished it for 20 years, and yes it's definitely worth perserverance (although it's been very quiet this year). It's interesting hearing you talk about that indicator/bung fishing, I've tried it a couple of times with no luck yet.
@FlyFishingwithKraza.-to4lf2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Sure is a nice lake. I fished the east banks as they were forecasting a north easterly. But was more a North to North Westerly, which made casting a challenge with the high banks. I've caught a few good trout at Moorabool using this technique. It does take some patience, but the trout I've caught with this technique were 50cm plus in size. Cheers, Kraza.

Great fish, only big models show up in winter for some reason. Was lucky enough to land a 43cm Reddie at moorabool about 2 weeks ago, funnily enough it didn't fight too much, must be the cold water

Hi Kraza how is the trek getting in there mate please , thanks Roy C.
@FlyFishingwithKraza.-to4lf3 ай бұрын
Hi Roy. I usually take the Ballan Daylesford Rd turn off from the Western Hwy towards Daylesford. Then turn left onto Spargo Creek Rd( It's where the closed Pub is). It's about 5 to 6km to the lake. Lake is on your right. It''s a big lake. You can't fish on the wall. You can park at the Moorabool Reservoir park or there are a few spots to park before the park. You can also access the lake from Forbes Rd if you like. Usually about a 200 metre walk to get to the water. The terrain is pretty flat and trees are far back enough to allow for good fly casting. Hope this helps and good luck if you go. Let me know if you get onto any? Cheers, Kraza.

Thanks for the tip. I've seen them remove people from the dam wall, while I was wading once before. They did not approach me at the time. Maybe it depends on the Ranger🤷♂. Cheers Kraza.

Nice one. Theres not a stack of Vic youtube fishos with a medly of tying, tackle setup, reviews, etc. Improving on your camera quality would be great and a bit less time in the easy-artificial Goulburn River are our only cons. Anyway I might see you there for the Kings Birthday weekend 😎
@FlyFishingwithKraza.-to4lf4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Living in Melbourne and only having day trips available for me at the moment, doesn't give me many options for productive rivers. Will be hitting the central lakes in the coming months. I'm done for the Goulburn River this season. I went today for the last time. Good luck on the weekend. Cheers, Kraza.
